she breathed, “then I want it with you.” Alexander moaned, his strong, eager lips slamming into hers. In a way that nothing else could, the kiss was like fire, ripping through the oppressive cold and tying her to him. For a brief moment, they were the only ones, raw and unbreakable without any shadows or destiny. But the shadows didn’t care about their vow. The abyss roared louder, splitting wider, determined to remind her that desire was not enough to change fate. --- The laughter came again, cruel and echoing, filling the night with dread. “Kiss him all you want, little wolf. But you belong to me.”

Everything felt wrong but I could not stop wanting to feel his lips on mine. Without leaving my cheek, he brought his lips toward me but stopped at a distance as if he was asking me for permission. Instead of pulling myself away, I shut my eyes, and then it happened. My heart skipped a beat when his lips touched mine. It was so good that it felt unreal. I kissed him back with the same passion and he deepened his kiss in which I lost myself. It happened. I got my first kiss from a mafia heir.

************** CHAPTER 18 ~Kaia’s POV~ The door to my office swung open with a resounding thud, shattering the charged atmosphere like a glass shattering on tile. I stumbled back instinctively, my lips tingling from the kiss and my heart hammering in my chest like I’d been caught red-handed. Blaze, on the other hand, didn’t flinch. He straightened leisurely, his expression infuriatingly calm, though his eyes still burned with a dark intensity that made my knees weak.

Images slice through me, too fast, too bright— Her smile under starlight. Her lips shaping my name like a vow. Then—her eyes cold, her mouth a blade. Her turning away, crowned in fire, leaving me in the wreckage of who I was. The scream rips out of me, raw and jagged, because gods help me— It’s right. “Give it to me,” I snarl. The words taste like blood and surrender. “Give me what I buried.” The laughter shakes the void. Oh, Kael. You don’t ask the Abyss. You let it take.

"Early class tomorrow! Thank you for dinner! This was wonderful! I'll text you!" And for the third time in a week, I ran away from Kamon just as things were getting good. But this time, as I fled through the crowded market with my hands clamped over my mouth, I couldn't help but smile behind my fingers. Because even with the supernatural disaster, even with my terrible timing and emergency exit, I knew one thing for certain: Kamon wanted to kiss me. And I wanted to kiss him back - fangs and all. The abyss was right there—just a few more strides. I pushed harder, my feet pounding against the earth. The trees opened up, revealing the jagged cliffs of the Silver Abyss. The ground dropped off sharply, a chasm of darkness stretching endlessly below. My vision blurred with crimson hues, the curse overtaking my senses, but I forced my legs to carry me forward. With one final burst of energy, I jumped. The air rushed past me, cold and biting against my burning skin. For a moment, I was weightless, suspended between the cursed energy threatening to consume me and the safety of the abyss.

I don’t really care anymore. He might have been caught off guard by what I did because he just froze. I straddle him and kissed him hungrily. It felt like I’ve done this before and I was on fire. I can feel myself being light on fire as I bit his lips and suck on them as I continue to kiss him. I gasp the moment he took over the kiss and explored my mouth with his tongue. I can feel his arousal as I grind at him. I don’t want to stop. I want to feel him inside of me. I tried to work on his jeans when the door suddenly opened.
