Even though the sun was gone, Aurora continued looking to the west in a longing way, as if she were trying to will the sun to come back up. "We should get back to the car," I said and turned around, Aurora followed.

Clara's Pov I was woken up by the rays of the sunlight that hit my eyes. At first I thought I was going blind. I didn't expect the brightness to hit me suddenly. In my drowsy state, I wondered who opened my curtains until I heard the voice of the person who did. “Rise and shine Clara. It's training day one.” Rowan said. I could hear the amusement in his voice. Oh so he thinks this is funny. I didn't want to wake up, at least not yet. I let out a loud yawn, stretching myself at the same time.

Clara’s pov The travelers came in during the tail end of the lunch rush, two men and a woman, road-dusty, packs at their feet, the kind of people who passed through Millbrook without staying long. I was refilling coffee at the counter when I caught the first piece of it. “—Moonridge pack’s still a mess over that rejection,” the taller man said, voice low but not low enough. “Alpha Kael cut her loose in front of everyone on her birthday, and now the elders are climbing the walls about the Silvercrest deal.”

The heavens help me because I would kill Kent if he speaks again. Clara suddenly groaned and opened her eyes for the first time since she fainted. The whiteness was still evident. I whispered to her. "Can you see now?" She shook her head sadly before speaking. "We were drowning. What happened?" She asked me. "We're walking now." I said to her, "Something smells weird. Not humans. More or less, cold and without heartbeat. Dare I say dead?" She asked. Seriously, her sense of smell was picking up a whole lot right now.

Chapter 90 – The Fire Beneath The morning started like any other, quiet and serene, the sunlight filtering through the tall windows of the penthouse, casting soft, golden rays across the room. Muna said, and Klara chuckled as her eyes returned back to yellow. “Smart,” she said, "even if he can't kill you, he can still torture you so that you wish to die.” “I see,” Muna said and smiled as she finally understood what Klara was trying to do. “If you are looking for a way to make me leave, please kindly show me the way out because I'm dying to leave here and go back to my family and friends.” Klara narrowed her eyes at her suspiciously, but then she smirked and gave her a friendly smile, which surprised Muna because ever since Klara came into the room, she had been glaring and snarling at her, so what's up with the friendly smile now?

’ Klara rolled her eyes. The sun was soon rising. Klara’s wolf hadn’t allowed her to sleep, every time she closed her eyes her wolf bounded around her head chanting ‘mate’ so Klara gave up. She climbed out of bed, the familiar shivers of exhaustion running down her spine. She opened the doors to the balcony, she hadn’t gone out there yet, but decided she wanted the morning air.

Clara opened her eyes weakly due to the screaming she heard. Her head was banging very hard and she was feeling uncomfortable. Trying to adjust her eyes to the bright lights around, she then spoke out. "What's going on here?" She asked with squinted eyes. Someone then rushed towards her and held her by the shoulders. "You are awake. Wow, finally. You are awake." Drake hugged her suddenly and gazed at her. "I can't believe it. I waited so long for you and it's not fruitless. This is great. Finally!" He yelled happily.
