Knights And Magic Watch Novels & Stories

With his long range hearing, he heard carriages, lots of it, parking to the front of the mansion along with the clatter of weapons and armors. "Their here! The knights are here!" "Oh please help us! Our mistress is still inside!" "You have to get her quickly!" Came the plead of the servants. And before Jim could even move another step, explosion from the house radiated into the atmosphere as Jim immediately spun his head towards the mansion where he could loudly hear the roars from the group of barging men. "Damn it! Why do they need to show up." Jim spat. He may be strong but dealing with knights is too many to handle, specially, in his current wounded state. He knew that it will not take l

Magus was swinging what looked like green whips, beheading several knights as I watched. Though it looked like we had a chance, it was still a nightmarish sight to behold. We may have a chance to live through this... A kind of hope I hadn’t felt in a long time swelled through me.

Knights were gathered in clusters—some sharpening blades, some stirring pots over low fires. “Lady Abby!” One of the younger knights waved me over, holding out a small crate. “Mana stones and monster materials,” he said proudly. “Already sorted.” I accepted the crate with a nod. Inside, I could see the dull gleam of stones—half of them still warm from battle. Fangs. Claws. Even a few blackened feathers from one of the rift beasts. “Good work,” I said, voice steady. Alaric stepped up beside me again, glancing down into the crate.

He rolled onto his back, staring at the ceiling, jaw clenched as unease settled into his bones. Mateo dreamed of fire and water meeting—not clashing, but circling one another, wary and curious. None of them saw the figure lift a hand. A thin thread of magic extended outward—not a spell meant to harm, but one designed to measure. It brushed the edge of the mansion’s wards and recoiled slightly, as if surprised. “Oh,” the watcher murmured, a smile touching its voice. “You’ve grown teeth.” The wards shimmered faintly, adjusting, learning.

Bianca added: “Magic must support, not dominate. The wolves ground us. The people hold us. The blade guides us.” I realized then that my role as the watcher, the map‑keeper was as vital as a warrior's blade or mage’s spell. I sketched new connections on parchment: linking frost‑guards in the north with river‑watchers in the south; tying rune‑mages to wolf‑packs; creating circuits of vigilance. Through the window I watched rain begin to fall soft, steady. The bombing of ash wasn’t yet, but the grey skies knew our forging. I felt the blade’s hum in my thigh. The storm grew.

Finally, I sealed it with a wooden stopper and placed it back on the rack. “It’s still not right.” I tapped the test tube filled with the dark red liquid. “Look—these particles are all floating on the surface, and the color is off. Dark Knights aren’t mages. Besides, attribute-infused knight weapons are still a relatively new field. How are they supposed to control something as volatile as fire magic?” The disappointment in their eyes flickered only briefly before one of them hurriedly asked, “Then what should we do?”

Just like Rhett’s the dark eyes held a flash of white in the center and I knew he was one of the Queens four knights. The tension in the room became thick, our magic stifling the air and the worry of her mate and mine bled into the room. “Back off Hunji,” Rhett warned stepping in front of me. “I can feel their magic at war.” He growls, eyes on me. “War?” I question with surprise, pulling my sight from the white witch and turning them on her mate. “War?” I repeat and the white witch scoffs.

"But perhaps you should see for yourself what your precious weapon has been up to tonight." She waves her hand, and the air above my desk shimmers like heat rising from summer pavement. The scent of magic grows stronger, making my nostrils flare. Dark energy coalesces into a viewing portal, the surface rippling like disturbed water. Through the magical window, I see a moonlit clearing surrounded by towering pines. Knox kneels in the moss, holding a ring that catches the starlight like captured fire. In his other hand, a bouquet of deep red roses trembles slightly.

The door opened and the Head Butler walked in. “Good morning, Lady Natalia. I am so sorry for disturbing your breakfast. Dame Violet asked me to inform you that the knights have set out to pick your mother up. The Dame also said she has assigned these servants to take care of your daily needs and that if you wish for anything, they are authorized to come to her directly if necessary. If you have any requests for me as well, you can simply send one of them.” “Very well. All we need now is a magician with an affinity for magic, preferably holy or spirit magic to heal her body entirely.”

Vivienne asked. "No," I shook my head. "It's a magic based card game that's very popular amongst Witches and Warlocks. It's basically a battle of who has the strongest will. Every Witch receives four cards. We will each have a turn to materialize the object in the card in under fifteen seconds. " I nodded while she spoke. "Whoever can beat the clock and materialize every object in their deck wins," Vivienne explained to me with a shrug. The game didn't sound so complicated, I was just a little apprehensive about using my powers again.
