A blinding surge of light shot upward, tearing through the mist. The ground split, and a small obsidian chest rose from within, glowing faintly red. Inside lay a single black-bound book wrapped in silver chains—the Book of the Damned. Kael stepped forward slowly. “After all this time…” He reached toward it— —and the forest screamed. A flare of silver light cut through the trees as figures emerged from the mist—The Order. Dozens of cloaked hunters, blades drawn, crossbows gleaming with runes.

I closed my eyes when I got in the shower. I can see my nerd, I mean that nerd I bumped into today. But I am kind of curious why she didn’t fall to her knees for me. She did smile at first, then I had to open my big fat mouth and ruin it. God, she is going to be a pain in the ass. I can tell. But then I had an awful idea. Maybe I don’t have to stay away from her. Maybe I can tease and make her life a living hell while she is in my kingdom. If it is so bad for her. Maybe she will leave on her own. But what if I can’t get her to leave? Then I will make her bow down to me. Then she won’t like the outcome when it comes down to that. I will make it so bad for her. No one tells the Knight’s off a

He stepped over the trembling body of the lesser demon, who dared not look up. Outside, the ground trembled again. The castle’s grand gates groaned under divine magic. Blades of light sliced through the mist like prophecy. From the northern tower, a lookout demon stumbled into the throne hall. “My prince,” he panted, wings singed, eyes wide, “the holy knights, they’ve broken the barrier. They’re led by the Sun Vicar himself. A full battalion. Twelve among them bear divine swords.” Valcoz exhaled, slow and sultry.

Countless bullets quietly rained on the knight; bullet holes could be seen all over his body. Cold sweat drenched Rozak’s back. A member of the Knights Templar was turned into mush right before his very eyes! The smell of blood filled the air, making the place completely dense. Rozak and his men’s intention of fighting their way out was immediately squashed as well.

She could simply wait for the others to arrive and then examine the room together. There were also knights and soldiers from the Earl's Guard, who had rushed to the scene after receiving a report from the Wizards' Tower.

King Treznor woke up in the middle of the night as his squire knocked on his bedroom chamber door. He put on his robes and ordered, “Come in.” Squire, “Your Majesty! Something bad happened.” Treznor, “Tell me what is it.” Squire, “The Chamber of the Ancients has been breached. The guards are dead. The Book is missing.” Treznor was shocked, “How is that even possible?! It was secured for centuries.”
