“Korean delicacies, apparently.”
“In my defense,” Kai said, pretending to look offended, “I’ve tried most of what I ordered before, and I think you’ll like them.”
“Well,” I said, smiling. “I guess we wait.”
“In the meantime,” Levi said, standing up, “I’ll make coffee and toast for myself. Anyone interested?”
“Me,” I said immediately.
“Come on then,” he motioned.
We headed to the kitchen together. The marble counter gleamed under the soft light, and the faint smell of roasted beans already filled the air.
