No one ever smiled at me like that, especially not in Mark's pack. My lips slowly parted into a gasp as I stared at him, my eyes were more concentrated on his lips. His smile gradually came on my face. "You don't have to leave, I was just joking" Alpha Kingston smiled at me. "You were joking?" I gasped in disbelief. I was just acting tough but immediately I stepped my leg out of this pack, I knew that I would be completely broken. My etching smile slowly changed into a pout and without thinking twice, I slapped his arm playfully.

He looked genuinely sad which was a different emotion from the usual Sasha that I’m used to. “What happened, though....” I ask softly. “Bratva issues, Kratoska. I don’t think you’d want to know the details...” He smirked. On instinct, I reached for his tattooed fist on the table, caressing it to offer comfort. “I’m sorry for your loss...” His throat bobs, eyes travelling to where our hands touched. My breath hitches as he weaves his fingers through mine, interlacing them with a gentle look.

The low hum of distant dripping water echoed faintly against the cold stone walls, punctuating the oppressive silence. Kaiser’s eyes, usually a calm storm of control, now burned with a slow, simmering fury. They narrowed into sharp slits as the corners of his mouth curled upward, an infamous smile, thin and bone-deep, that sent an involuntary shudder rippling through the few souls who dared witness it. This was no ordinary smile; it was a predator’s grin, cold and merciless, a smile that had ended empires and shattered lives. It was the kind of smile that made even the bravest men falter, the kind that spoke of dark promises made in shadows.

Their team got famous in the platform of online esports. Kratos could feel he had a soft corner for that girl so he used to protect her all the time, in the game. Kratos was the name of Nicolas Walker's gaming account. He was the one and only son of famous industrialist Christopher Walker who was literally the most powerful tycoon of Los Angeles. Nicolas loved to talk to Minerva and they used to play whole night. Minerva was little shy at first but soon she started feeling comfortable with Kratos and her teammates and she knew it very well Kratos was the one who used to rescue her all the time.

Rosa POV. I wake up with a groan. Looking around the unfamiliar room. I sit up and wince. I chuckle to myself as I look at the cabin walls. Well, this is new. “You’re awake. How do you feel?” I look towards the door and see Kronos standing there with a mug in his hand. He looks like a lumberjack in his jeans and flannel shirt. His hair was in a bun at the back of his neck. “Like shit.” I say honestly, and he smirks as he walks closer to me and hands me the mug. I look at the contents and sigh.

Third Pov "Should we leave? Because it looks like some people are lost in themselves." Grace said and chuckled when Crystal instantly moved her eyes off Ramos. "Cough* shall we?" Ramos kept his hand in front of Crystal since they needed to greet everyone together, as the Alpha and Luna of the pack. Crystal smiled faintly and took his hand before they both started greeting everyone together.

Her typically peach cheeks are pink and her beautiful blue-green eyes are blazing with rage. "I wasn't good enough for Commander Garlof, so I decided he wasn't good enough to escort me," Krystal snaps when she reaches us, and my fists clench. The desire to find and punch the stupid Commander fills my body. Zuri makes an angry sound that mimics my emotions, and puts her hands on her hips. "I will kick his butt! You are amazing," Zuri declares, and Krystal's face morphs from angry to happy instantly. "I'm sure you will," Krystal says and I smile.

A chorus of fake swoons follows. I throw the towel directly at his face. “Shut up.” He catches it and wipes fake tears. “It’s beautiful.” “You’re embarrassing yourself.” “And yet,” Markus says, “not nearly as much as you.” The guys completely lose it. I try not to laugh. Unfortunately, the corners of my mouth betray me. Jake points immediately. “There it is!” “What?” “The smile.” “I am not smiling.” “You absolutely are.” I shove my locker door open. “You’re all idiots.”

“It’s just brewing a potion.” “I’m injured, too.” “Isn’t your injury almost healed?” he said dismissively. “Besides, for a Luna, a small wound like that is nothing.” He stopped himself, realizing what he’d just said. But it was too late. Looking at his indifferent face, the last shred of warmth in my heart turned to ice. “If this bothers you,” he said, waving it off, “just crush another crystal.” The furious words I wanted to scream got stuck in my throat.

It was really true that Dana Hamilton was a mother to Clara. Philip looked at the Harriot in the picture, he was smiling without the effort of pain and a wave of bitterness swept through Philip. He felt like losing his mind for a second by lamenting the fact that he had met them again but he knew better than to lose his control. He tucked his phone into his pocket and looked at the painting one more time.
