Beloved Alpha King

Beloved Alpha King

"This can't be. Ki can't be dead!" Yukiya shook her head in disbelief. The little red egg that was rolling around in the corner jumped over to her and nudged her. "no...something is wrong…. I have to see for myself," she mumbled and shot out of the watering hole. For a second she couldn't breathe. She panted, lying on the ground. The little red egg nudged her hands worriedly. 'I have to breathe…I have to change,' she thought as she pulled herself up by her forearm. Her gills were not adaptable to breathe out of water and was suffocating her.

WITH STRENGTH IN THE HEART

WITH STRENGTH IN THE HEART

I feel like my chest is going to burst out at any moment, I hold my hands to my chest and grimace from the pain in my throat that feels so horrible. Suddenly, a delicate hand rubs my back pleasantly, the whisper of a calm and serene voice that made my cheeks burn. " I'm here..." said Hiroki's male voice massaging my back, rubbing his strong hands "inhale and exhale..." he said giving instructions in a calm and peaceful voice, gradually letting go of my cough, even if it calmed it down a little.

Cultivation with a System in the Modern World

Cultivation with a System in the Modern World

Pavan's expression shifted as the implications of that look arranged themselves into something resembling clarity. "That's not going to be normal lifting, is it," he said. Abby smiled. It was a very calm smile. The kind of smile that, under certain circumstances, might be described as serene. Pavan swallowed. At the edge of the hall, separated from the others by both distance and preference, Kuro worked in silence. He had claimed a strip of open floor near the wall and was currently on his hands in the kind of push-up set that looked, from across the room, like penance. His breathing had gone ragged somewhere around the hundredth repetition, but he hadn't stopped — had pushed through into a

Orphan Luna

Orphan Luna

Almost like he’s panicked. My hearing cuts out and I hear nothing. All sounds are gone. I see the man mouthing something but I don’t comprehend sounds. I narrow my eyesight but I’m not hearing anything. Why? Leo turns my face towards his, “baby, breathe… breathe”. Am I not breathing?

The Alpha’s reckoning

The Alpha’s reckoning

“Everything is fine.” I didn’t even realize I wasn’t breathing until he pointed it out. “Lisa, baby,” he murmurs, his tone filled with gentle reassurance. “You need to stay with me. Just listen to my voice, okay? Breathe. Breathe for me.” He takes a deep breath, demonstrating for me, and I find myself mirroring his movements. Slowly but surely, my breathing steadies. The tightness in my chest loosens, and I can finally inhale deeply on my own.

Second Chance With A Billionaire

Second Chance With A Billionaire

"Breathe for me, Aurora. Take a deep breath in and out. In and out." 'I-in and out! In and... o-out!' I chanted. The air felt like pebbles when I inhaled, but I did as he told me. "That's it, in and out. Breathe. Breathe." He whispered. The first few were hard, like I was breathing in tiny shards of glass. Slowly air returned to my lungs, my heart rate steadied and the heaviness in my chest dulled. "Are you feeling better now?" Sebastian asked, brushing his finger over my cheek.

BILLIONAIRE ALPHA'S ACCIDENTAL SURROGATE

BILLIONAIRE ALPHA'S ACCIDENTAL SURROGATE

“Breathe with me, okay? Just focus on me. In and out. You’re safe. I’m right here.” I tried to concentrate on his words, but it felt like I was trapped in my own head, my thoughts spiraling out of control. Tears streamed down my cheeks, and I struggled to match his breathing. He pressed his forehead against mine, his thumbs brushing away my tears. “You’re okay,” he whispered, his voice softer than I’d ever heard it. “I’ve got you. Just breathe. Slow, like this.” I focused on the warmth of his hands, the steady rhythm of his breathing, and slowly, gradually, I felt the tightness in my chest ease. I matched his breaths, inhaling deeply and exhaling slowly. My trembling lessened, and my heart s

Punish Me, Master

Punish Me, Master

As a true Master, he prioritized her comfort, guiding with expertise born of experience. "We'll start with trust-building," he said, his tone deep and instructive, delving into the essence of the exercise. "Breathing first. Inhale slowly through your nose for a count of four. Hold for four. Exhale through your mouth for four. Follow my lead." He demonstrated, his breaths even and audible, a rhythmic guide. Kyra mirrored him, her chest rising and falling in sync. It was cute, the way her head tilted slightly as she concentrated, her lips parting just a bit with each exhale.

THE BARREN EX-WIFE WHO CAME BACK

THE BARREN EX-WIFE WHO CAME BACK

"And I need you to breathe with me. Can you do that?" I tried to shake my head, but his hands held me still—not forcefully, but firmly enough that I couldn't look away from his eyes. "Yes, you can," Nicholas insisted. "Watch me. Focus on nothing but my breathing. Breathe in—" He took a slow, deep breath, his chest expanding. "Hold—" He paused for a beat. "And out." He exhaled slowly and deliberately. I tried desperately to follow his rhythm, my lungs fighting against me. In, hold, out. In, hold, out.

THE GOODBYE HE MISSED

THE GOODBYE HE MISSED

He did not say anything about it. Sophia saw it too. He knew she saw it because her shoulders adjusted — not relaxing, not yet, but the specific micro-shift of someone incorporating new data. Ethan was breathing. He had the sequence Dr. Sable had given him — the inhale count, the hold, the exhale — and he was executing it with the focused discipline of a child who had been doing breathing exercises every morning for three weeks and had understood from the beginning that understanding why something worked made you more likely to do it correctly.

Franky Goodwater
great start..concise with nuances. hope it would end the same way. not tooo many chapters that the main characters became watered down with so many side stories. i'm reading along slowly... so that i don't have to wait for updates. keep up the good work, dear author!
Miriam
I'm only on chapter 5 of this story and I'm so invested. It's well written and I love how the female lead, Sophia, is depicted. I hope things work out for her and the children, away from the man who doesn't recognize the value in the family he's neglected.
