There was a rushing noise in my ears, and I felt lightheaded from the lack of oxygen. I felt a hand on my back, and it began to rub over my spine in circles. It was so startling that I had to focus on it, and that helped to drown out the whooshing in my ears just enough for me to hear Axel’s voice. “Breathe with me, Kara, come on,” Axel was saying. “Come on, you can do it. Breathe with me and follow my words. In and out. Okay? Okay, breathe in and hold, one, two, three, four, five, now exhale. Yeah, just like that, you can do it, come on. It’s okay, you’re okay. Breathe, Kara, breathe. And hold, one, two, three…”

Kenji’s POV I seat myself at Luna Aiyana’s desk and wait for Jamari to make her way to me. Ren is pacing in my head making my human half anxious. Getting up, I turn to look out the window behind the Luna’s desk. Maybe some breathing exercises can help calm me and Ren. Slowly, I take a deep breath in for four seconds, hold for four seconds, release for four seconds, hold for four more seconds. By the end I can feel myself loosening up.

She seen this on movies but didn’t know if it actually worked. “Leo babe, put your head down between your knees.” Amber guided Leo into the position gently. She talked him through slowing his breathing down by inhaling through his nose slowly and exhaling through his mouth. After a few moments, she could hear his breathing began to slow. Cammie breaths in a full deep breath, it feels like she’s coming up for air for the first time, after a deep sea dive, that’s how big the breath is that she’s breathing in. At Chemora- Kilian sprang out of that tub holding his chest and throat. Sitara rubbed his back as he coughed blood on the floor. The colour of the liquid in that tub had just changed to turquoise as Kilian reappeared. " Breathe... " Sitara instructed , hitting the back of his lungs. Kilian struggled for several minutes before finally letting out a very loud gasp and collapsing on the floor . Sitara carried him to bed.Put him down and then pulled his hands and legs up of it as well.

All of it connects to how you breathe." He demonstrates. A slow, deep inhale through his nose, hold for three counts, then exhale through his mouth. "Your turn." I copy him, feeling slightly ridiculous. "Good. Now keep doing that while I circle you. Don't watch me with your eyes. Sense where I am. Feel my presence."
