POV: Luna "We start with breathing," Ryder says. I blink. "Breathing?" "Everything starts with breath. Your wolf instincts, your ability to sense danger, your control over panic. All of it connects to how you breathe." He demonstrates. A slow, deep inhale through his nose, hold for three counts, then exhale through his mouth. "Your turn." I copy him, feeling slightly ridiculous. "Good. Now keep doing that while I circle you. Don't watch me with your eyes. Sense where I am. Feel my presence."

But even as the words left my mouth, doubt crept in. It felt too real. The cold grip. The pressure. The burning in my lungs. The voice. I wrapped my arms around myself, shuddering as I forced myself to take deep, steady breaths. “In… out,” I muttered. “Just breathe, Kira. You’re fine. You’re okay.” Slowly, painfully, my breathing began to even out. The pounding in my chest eased slightly, though my heart still felt unsettled, like it hadn’t fully calmed down.

Krystal looked angrily at the stout body of a foreign man who was slowly disappearing from her sight. The drops of blood that seeped from his left arm looked like traces following his footsteps. Before long, Yunho emerged from a hallway, looking at her worriedly. Her loyal servant watched Krystal's body closely and tried to make sure that his lady was okay. After five minutes Yunho examined Krystal's body and there was nothing to worry about, then the man could breathe a sigh of relief while exhaling calmly.

Feel Cole’s arms around you now, and take in another deep breath.” Cassia did as she was told, noticing how warm and firm yet gentle Cole’s grip on her was. “Good, now let it out.” For the next few minutes, Dr. Blake had her notice things around the room whilst breathing in a rhythmic pattern. Deep breath, hold, release, hold - and repeat.

I manage to croak between ragged breaths. “I'm here babe, just calm your breathing, everything is okay,” He says softly, trying to hide the fear in his voice. “Hey, Josie. Listen to me. Breathe with me okay?” Luke's smooth voice soothes. I manage to nod my head and attempt to follow the rhythm of his breathing. He takes my hand and places it on his chest. I focus on how his chest expands and contracts under my hand and slowly I manage to match my breathing to his. “That's it, you've got it,” he praises wrapping his arms around me and pulling me closer until my cheek is on his chest, listening to him breathe. “Keep following my breathing, everything is fine,”

“Just enjoy.” “Easier said than done.” He tapped her nose. “Try it. How about you close your eyes? And take deep breaths.” Jubilee gave him a skeptical look but finally obeyed. She closed her eyes and waited. “Count. Breathe in, three, four, five, breathe out, three, four, five.” Jubilee breathed in slowly, counting out loud, but she couldn’t concentrate when Heath began to push her other bra strap down her arm.

He was adamant that Isabelle was pretending to avoid answering his questions. "Now let's breath in via our mouths, deeply and slowly...Just like that." Sean could feel a weight being lifted off his shoulders when Isabelle began to calm down. Isabelle could feel her chest relaxing with every breath. Her vision was becoming normal with every breath she inhaled. They repeated the steps until she could stand on her own without wobbling. Until she could see clearly and until her difficulty in breathing ebbed away.
