“Oh, honey. When you start a sentence with it’s complicated, I know there’s a man involved.”
“Try two,” I mutter.
Kelly gasps, instantly awake. “Two?! Okay, now I am getting up for this tea.”
I can’t help but laugh, the tension in my chest easing for the first time all evening.
Kelly pulls her blanket tighter around her shoulders, her messy bun tilting like a crown of chaos.
She yawns and points at the screen.
“Okay, start from the beginning. Two men? Who are you, Bollywood’s next tragic heroine?”
I press a hand to my forehead, groaning. “You don’t even know half of it.”
