"I'm here now." As they talked, Kyle found himself opening up to Cassidy, telling her about his sick mom and the rogue attack that had killed his dad and left his mom in a coma. His voice cracked like a broken record as he spoke. Cassidy listened, her expression sympathetic, but inside, she was seething with impatience like a kid on a long car ride. Blah blah blah, poor Kyle, walla walla wong. Get to the point already. She felt like muttering it out, but she stayed silent and let him finish.

She hissed, “In that case I would be glad to walk you out of the house” Eaton conceded to her words. “I don't need your company, I just need my daughter to be discharged, and we can kiss you and your father who didn't have the opportunity to train you into a full-grown man because no matter how long your beards are or how big your chest become you'll always be the half matured man I know” Everyone seated at that hall heard Kyle's mother words, and they all felt it including me, Eaton brought this upon himself.

Especially from all the past events that they've been through. Kelsey and Kyle's real father, Lucas Montenegro, was a very wealthy man. He grew up with silver spoon shoved in his mouth. He got whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted it. His family owning the largest and most successful business in the whole country gave him a good reputation. Lucas was supposed to inherit the business when his father stepped down but everything changed.

I asked. Ma Rosa laughed softly. “Keith doesn’t like strangers around his space.” “And Kyle?” I pressed. “Well, Kyle barely speaks to anyone. He has been this way since his mother passed,” she added with a soft, sad expression. Just then, a noise came from downstairs. “I need to check what’s going on,” Ma Rosa said, leaving me with Liam. “As for Kobe and Kyson, you must already know what they are like,” Liam said. I nodded in response. “So… this house,” I began hesitating, “it’s bigger than I imagined.”

Kate mumbled and grumbled. “What’s so peculiar, Mom? Dad travelled somewhere with Granddaddy Brandy.” Kyle rolled his eyes. Kate was jolted but doing nothing besides put off her phone, Kate shook her head for Kyle. Kyle ignored the killer gazes of Kate, while he’s enjoyed the potatoes. He tried to make a negotiation with her mom, as he handed it to Kate. “I’ve to get some quick shower first.” “It was an excellent choice. Dad said have a quick shower with warm water in the morning will make your fatigues gone.” Kyle pouted his lip, while trying to remember something.

He paused before revealing, "A mama's boy." "Oh. Haha! He got you for being a mama's boy, didn't he? Of course, you have a soft spot for your own kind," Kenzie teased, chuckling. "The point is, from what I gather, he has a very good relationship with his mother, despite being separated from his father and even with his grandmother. He shares the same values as us when it comes to family," Kyle revealed. "I better get back to work, Kenzie. Just check the file for whatever purpose it will serve."

"Well, you know that I'm not in good terms with my parents, and especially my mum. I don't know, but we've never been that close." The producer squeezed Juliette’s shoulder to comfort her. "I'm sure that one day she will understand you." ~ "Oh my god! What a great day to have such gorgeous people here in my house!" Kyle’s mom welcomed her guests. “Come in, please. You’re so welcome,” she looked at the girl and smiled, “You must be Juliette, right?" she smiled at Juliette who shyly nodded, “Kyle talked a lot about you. Thank you for trusting my son." She took her hands and patted them gently.

The scandal wrecked Kyle’s family’s reputation. Less than a month later, Rose was reportedly hit by a car. She lost the baby. Not long after, Rose and her mother were kicked out by Kyle’s paternal family. They kept a low profile after that, but of course, Kyle and Jones wouldn’t leave them alone. Life only got harder for the mother-daughter pair. From the chat logs, I gathered that Kyle was currently on a business trip in Rockwolf territory, and Jones’s whereabouts were unknown. That was good news.

I knew I'd overpacked, but I didn't know what we'd be doing or where we'd be staying. Kyle had left on Tuesday night to go home for Thanksgiving. I'm not sure what his plans were for the two days of class he'd be missing, but his parents wanted him home. Mark left last night for Salt Lake and sent us a very exhausted video of his flight landing at two a.m.

But Kyle has some deep shit. His mom abandoned and rejected him when he was a kid, only to go and start a family with another man. She left Kyle to her mother and rarely came to visit. So Kyle was raised by his grandma. When he was sixteen, her mom and her little family of two kids and the husband died in a fire at night. Kyle says his mother's death tore him apart. He's an empathetic person. About his dad, he never knew or heard of him. Kyle says he would never want to meet the guy or know him. His grandmother has been his dad and mom his whole life. And Kyle says that she is enough. It's strange how similar our life stories are... No wonder he and I are connected.
