The after-party was a hit, but the family dinner was a bit tricky though Wade was being the sweetest when he tried to bridge the gap between my parents and Andrew's. Kyle's brother had come a long way since his fallout with him, now Wade owns a lucrative chain garage and Kyle couldn't be any prouder of his little brother. "Okay, now...if I can have everyone's attention." "Wow, I think he's getting the feel of talking in public, which is good, but seriously?" Kyle was already tipsy from the alcohol he kept on consuming to numb the words from our parents. One thing for sure, he was feeling crappy about not having parents and it didn't help with the past and future family dinner.

“I’ll catch ya later.” Price nodded at her. He turned his attention back to his family. Kylee hurried down the steps after the retreating figures of her mom and stepfather, afraid Bill might leave her if she didn’t get in the car before they did. “We’re here because of the investigation,” her mother was saying as she yanked the car door open. Kylee opened hers too, ears tuned to her parents’ conversation as she leaned forward on the worn plastic seat. “We’re under investigation because of your stupid brat.”

I have to maximize my money until I could get a job that will support us with our needs. While looking at some stuff, I saw a familiar face come out of the men's room. I can't be wrong. I know that it's Kyle Sebastian. While staring at him, I can't help but notice how much he'd grown. From a farm boy to an elegant, handsome man. I always thought that he'd be successful in life and I am right. I am glad that he didn't notice me so I could stalk him a bit more. I am curious about his life now. I followed him until he entered a stall for expensive watches.

Today was a good day and absolutely nothing was going to ruin it. When we got to school the whole gym was already packed. Our parents never came to watch any of our games so you could imagine my surprise when I saw Kyle sitting three rows away from the bench. Of course, my parents weren’t there – they were too busy being lawyers to show up to high school games and pep rallies. Or in my mom’s case, she was too busy planning a pre-Halloween dinner. “I can’t believe he’s here,” Crystal said from behind me. She didn’t sound too excited about seeing her father. “He’s going to put so much pressure on Tony just by being here. He could lose focus!”

Then Kyle and Slyvester took a deep breath before looking at each other. ‘I thought we were caught! This b*stard couldn’t take a hint!’ ‘Anyway. He complimented me so I should feel happy.’ “Okay, dear. I know you all are busy studying. And you need sleep too. So, we have to go,” Mom bid. At last! Eureka! “Sorry, we didn’t have the time to prepare food for you,” Kyle apologized. “That’s okay,” said Dad. “We didn’t plan on staying for any longer. Ahhh, I put some fruit in the kitchen. Don’t forget to eat those, kids.”

After drinking some juice, Kyle went to Mariana’s parents and stayed with them for the entirety of the banquet. Mariana’s mother couldn’t be happier. Kyle was always friendly with them, but it seemed he had acknowledged them as his grandparents very quickly. Andrew looked at James and Liam and shook his head. The kids were doing what they wanted. He could create a fuss, but his meddling would only cause them mental pressure. It wouldn’t change their mind or solve the issue. He kept quiet and introduced Kyle to his friends. The Preston family tried to talk to Mariana’s parents to establish a business relationship, but he quickly denied them.

When Kyle got home, he headed straight to Kimmel's office to explain his suspicions to him but he was obstructed by his mother when he knocked on the door and the doors opened. " Kamal!!" His mother yelled as she threw her hands around his neck. " Ugh! Mom hold on I need to talk to Kimmel!" Kyle struggled to say while his mom was almost suffocating him with her hug. " Is finding Kimmel more important than apologizing to your mother who happens to be me. You almost gave me a heart attack! " She said and Kyle sighed. He knew he would make no progress especially with Kimmel and his father being absent. His mother kept whining and whining!

Kyle who was busy playing video game had also stopped abruptly and stared at his brother. "Ah yes. He's in the military, but that shouldn't bother me." I shrugged casually and all of them stared at me like I grew a yellow minion head or transformed into a unicorn which would actually be cool. I quickly continued to divert the topic, "Katy completed her education and recently brought a pretty, little house over here." "Where is your mommy?" Kyle asked in a high pitched voice and his nose was now buried in the bowl of vanilla ice cream. Carla snatched the bowl and knocked his head lightly. "Kyle, eat properly with a spoon. And apologise to Amelia, you shouldn't be asking personal details."

We did do our first day of duties together the other day, it was actually really great and people loved it. I got a message that my parents and Kyle were here, oh let the arguments begin! The little contact we've been having with our parents since the first meeting, let's just say it's lucky children were not around when the contact was taking place. Not from me though but from Kyle, he's still hellbent on not letting our parents in.
