Turning towards him, I could see his eyes were begging me not to say what I was going to him and that he was putting the pregnancy test inside the envelope.

I keep walking, my feet stepping on stones, on branches, and everything there is on the bottom, and soon, I’m right behind him. I wrap my hands around his torso and lean my forehead on his back. It’s quiet, the only sound is the wind touching the water and our breathing. “You're a fucking liar, McDavid. “I whisper, “It's damn cold. “ “Yeah?” He says and still doesn't move. I stand on my toes, my feet digging in the mud on the bottom. “Yes,” I say quietly and kiss his neck. And then Kyle turns around, confusion is written all over his face.
