Chapter 2 (Lucky)

We already arrived at Incheon, Airport. I took my sunglasses and followed the other member.

As we headed our head to the airport. I already saw the people inside of the airport with their banners and posters on their hands. They waved their hands to us. Different kinds of cameras were flashed in front of us while we are heading to our cars.

I just bowed down my head while walking. People are murmuring and we couldn't even understand it anymore. I just stared at the floor as I walk without minding them. Our guards protected us from being approached by our fans as we headed our headed to the exit of the airport.

I lifted my head to them and smiled. I even gave a hand wave to say goodbye. Words are not enough to describe how much I love them. For the endless support. Without them? Metamorphosis won't bloom, and for sure, we can't even be the part of the S7 Entertainment. But, because of them, we bloomed, we reached our dreams together with them.

They shout out our names and their smile were very evident on their faces. I just stopped waving to them when I saw a woman fall.

I immediately walk towards her direction and help her to stand up. I get her banner, light stick and give it back to her.

"Miss, are you okay?" I asked with full of concerns.

Her looked never leave mine, until I saw her both cheek blushed.

"Yes," she responded to me shortly.

Because of the crowded area where she stood up earlier, she lost her balance.

I just nodded to her and let go of her hand and I continued walking. Kyle, tapped my shoulder and showed me a smile.

I just... remembered... something...

After our Biology Class, I immediately went to the Business Department Building. Lucky and I will have a lunch together.

My foreheads furrowed when I heard the girls laughing and I even saw them blushed. I just ignored them and went straight to my locker to put my things there.

My eyes widened when I opened my locker and it was full of love letters and there are even bunch of flowers!

My face turned sour and I picked it up one by one. I just stopped, when someone suddenly helped me.

A white but fair soft hand was slowly picking the letters, too. I looked up at her and my jaw clenched when I saw Hyacinth Lee, my one and only like.

She doesn't know anything at all. She hasn't also paid attention, even if we are in the same class. She's a cheerleader, volleyball player and a singer. She's tall, with a long brown hair. Her skin is white, but fair. She also has a nice body.

She's my ideal type... I smiled in my mind. Her angelic face shoved in front of me and handed me the letters.

"You're already famous. Most of the students here are already sending you gifts and love letters," even her soft voice got my attention.

Alex, stop it. Hyacinth's ideal man is too high standards. Don't assume too much.

Suddenly... my heart started to beat faster when she suddenly touched my eyeglasses and fixed it. My attention never left in her eyes.

"What are you doing?" I asked her confusedly, while putting back the love letters to my locker.

"I'm just fixing your eyeglasses," she answered shortly.

I immediately closed my locker and I was about to say goodbye when she suddenly holds my left arm. My forehead furrowed, even more when I saw the sudden change of her expression.

"Are you free right now? I just... want to invite you to have lunch with me, together with my team! They badly want to meet you in person. Because, they don't have a chance to see you because you seemed very busy, always." she explained to me.

I stared at her expressions and I shook my head to her.

"I'm sorry, Ms. Lee. But I promised to Lucky that I will have my lunch with her. But you can invite me next time," I answered for her and smiled.

She immediately removed her hand to my elbow and slowly nodded to the words I said to her.

"Lucky? Who's Lucky?" she asked and shrugged.

"She's my friend. I gotta go now, Ms. Lee. Thank you for the invitation."

After I said my goodbye to her, I immediately turned away and walked.

Friendship rule number three: lunch with my best friend is a must.

No excuses, even though, I like that someone to have lunch with me. Friend time will always be friend time.

When I arrived at their building, my eyes widened when I saw her crying.

My forehead furrowed and anger spread to my veins immediately, when I saw her fighting the other three girls. I run towards their direction and when they saw me? Their faces started to get pale.

"What did you do to her?!" I asked them madly.

Lucky was sobbing and I was about to touch her when she suddenly shook my hand and hurriedly ran far away from me.

"Lucky! Lucky, wait!" I shouted her name but she didn't even listen to me.

I turned my head to the girls who get fight with Lucky and I just saw them bowed down there heads.

"If you'll do this, again? Better dropped your subject and transfer to a new school." I warned them and they nodded at me. I immediately run and find Lucky.

I was getting sad and hurt at the same time, every time she's crying without even saying goodbye. She didn't even let me know where she is.

"Lucky!" I roamed my eyes but I couldn't even find her shadow.

I picked up my cellphone and called her right away, but she didn't still answer my calls.

I immediately ran to the rooftop of the school. When I saw that the elevator was not working, I immediately ran to the stairs.

A few minutes had passed before I reached the rooftop. I was not wrong... here she is.... crying.

I slowly walked towards her directions and I can't help myself thinking of what she's thinking right now. I feel the pain in my heart, too. When she saw me, she suddenly averted her eyes from me.

I bent down and lifted her chin. I grabbed my handkerchief and wiped all her tears.

"What are you doing here? You have to take your lunch, don't mind me anymore," her voice broke.

I sighed and closed my eyes...

"Lucky, what happened?" she didnt answer my question.

"Lucky...." I called her one more time.

"I want to be alone, Alex. Let me."

"Lucky, I can't help you, if you don't tell me what's going on." I told her with full of worries.

I sat down next to her, first.

"Those girls said that you will change, once you'll go to Korea as a trainee."

My forehead furrowed because of what she said to me. My jaw clenched because of frustrations.

"And you'll gonna believe them?" I asked her sarcastically.

"Lucky, you know me for years. You know me better than those girls." I looked at her eye to eye.

"I know..." she said softly.

"Even if I become famous, a singer. I will not change myself, Lucky. And of course, I won't forget you. You're already part of my life. You mean special to me," her eyes widened and I wiped her tears again.

I just smiled at her and looked at the clear skies.

"No matter how far away to each other. Our hearts will always be connected. Nothing could tear us apart. You're my lucky..."

I stopped singing when I heard the staff speak.

"Yes sir, she's Lucky. She's our new staff."

I slowly looked outside the window glass. She turned around while talking to the other staff who were busy arranging our things.

Lucky...

I fixed my necktie and brushed my hair. I put some wax on it to look even more cleaned.

I didn't notice that Mom entered my room. She smiled at me and adjusted my suit. She looked up at me.

"My Alex is not a little boy anymore," she said with her eyes sulking but her smile never fade.

"I'm still your baby, Mom." I said to her and kissed her on her forehead.

"You're already a grown-up man. I am so proud of you, Alex. Wether you get into that Entertainment or not. I am still so proud of you."

I was silent for a few minutes, before I spoke again and told Mom about my plan.

"Mom... if the Star 7 Entertainment wouldn't accept me, I wouldn't go home, first." I slowly said that to Mommy.

I saw her... sigh and she immediately lowered her gaze to the floor of my room.

"Why? What else do you want to do there?" Mom asks me.

"I'm going to look for a job. Dad said, he'll help me find a job, there."

She was about to speak when I suddenly added what I was going to say.

"Mom, when I find a job. I can take you there."

I lost the excitement in my heart when I saw the disappointed expressions that my mother has shown me.

"Alex, I don't want to go back to Korea."

"Mom, this is not about Dad, am I right?" she turned to me and shook her head.

"Ready yourself. Today is your graduation. Whatever your plans, I'll go with it and support you. It's fine to me if you want to stay with your father, but... don't invite me anymore to go back to Korea." Mom said before she left in my room.

I massage my head for a bit and took my things. My forehead furrowed when I saw a small piece of paper.

"Metamorphosis is coming..."

What is this? I looked at the back of the note and read it.

"Your future defines here..." it looks like a quote.

It was given to it by one of the students yesterday. I just put it in my bedside table and headed out of my room. I slowly went down the stairs, when I saw Lucky, talking to my mother.

She's wearing a beautiful casual dress. Above those beautiful dress was our graduation gown. Her hair was curled naturally. She's wearing also... make ups. I didn't even recognize her.

She was very different from the Lucky I had met and been with. She looks even more taller because of the heels she was wearing.

I walked towards her and touch her hair.

"Alex! Don't touch my hair! I don't want to look mess!" she said to me and Mom just laughed at us.

"Let's go?" Mommy said, before we left the house.

Lucky looked at me from head to toe.

"Seriously... until now? I'm still amazed of your duality and personality and your physical appearance, Alex." I was stunned by what she said.

I just laughed and she raised her eyebrow at me.

I smirked...

"You're amazed to me because?"

Her cheek blushed and she slapped me with her other hand, jokingly.

"Stop looking at me like that! Let's go!" she said annoyingly. I couldn't help but smile.

We were still laughing when I got into the driver's seat and so did, she, in the passenger's seat. While Mommy was sitting in the back seat .

"Alex, Lucky?" we both turned to Mommy when she suddenly called us.

"Why, Mom?" I ask.

"You look good together..."

My eyes widened at what my mother said and I just laughed without humor.

Lucky and I looked at each other. I could clearly see the redness on both of her cheeks.

"Mom, don't say that. Lucky is not my type! And besides, she's my friend. We have rules," I still laugh at what Mom said, before I drove my car to university.

When we got there, we were immediately surrounded by the people and students.

Others took pictures of me and gave me good luck letters and love letters. They even give me a bunch of flowers, but of course, I give it to Mom.

Lucky waved her hand to me and said goodbye. I said goodbye to Mommy, first, before I headed my head to my class.

Nicole, shook my hand before hugging me. My classmate.

"Finally! We made it!" Nicole shouted at me and I just nodded at her.

Harry, my friend, shook my hand and our other friends went to our direction, immediately.

My smile faded... when Flinn handed me a letter.

"Alex, I know that you and Lucky are friends. Can you... give this to her?" I clenched my jaw and my attention never left to the letter he had shown me.

I lifted my eyes to him...

"Are you courting her?" I asked him without hesitation.

He brushed his hair and immediately both of his ears turned red.

"Just letting you know..."

He was tempted by some of our friends. I accepted the letter he handed me and I nodded to him.

Lucky doesn't want any boys to court her. She was once said that.

I still remember every words that she said...

"If a boy courted at me, through letters but wouldn't want to see me in person? I wouldn't allow him to be my boyfriend."

I don't even know why she doesn't want to. But we respect each others privacy and decisions.

When the program started, we were immediately seated.

It was just like a dream come true. Walking on the stage with your degree.

"Alex Kim," a professor mentioned my name.

A smile flashed on my lips, before I received my diploma and shook their hands.

Many students were screaming and shouting my name, I smiled to them.

After the graduation, we went straight to a fancy restaurant and ate a dinner together with my Mom.

Lucky, didn't come, because they also had something to do, with her family.

Mom and I just kept quiet while eating.

"My son, Alex. Are you really sure about this?" Mommy asked.

I drank some water first, before I answered her.

"Of course, Mother. Tomorrow is my flight to Korea."

I almost forgot that the Star 7 Entertainment, already emailed me. I was accepted for the next final audition at their building in Incheon.

I received a lot of letters and flowers and different kinds of chocolates with love letterd on it.

Mom didn't answer me and just nodded at what I have said.

After we ate, I immediately packed my clothes and put them in a big suitcase.

I stopped on what I was doing when suddenly my phone rang. I picked it up first and immediately answered Dad's call.

"Junbi doeeossnayo? Junbihasibsio naeil-eun dangsin-ui bihaeng-ibnida?" Dad asked me on the other line.

My father didn't know on how to speak Filipino language. That's why, I need to learn Korean, so that I can understand him.

Translated: "Are you ready? Get yourself ready. Tomorrow is your flight."

I nodded at him, even though, I knew he couldn't see it either.

"Ne, Appa."

Translated: "Yes, Dad."

"Eomeonineun jom eotteoseyo? Geunyeneun eottae?" Dad asking me.

My smile faded... slowly. When I remembered them broke up and got divorced. My heart ache a little bit, but that's been a long time ago. I must have forgotten it.

Translated: "How's your mother? How is she?"

I sighed first, before I answered him back.

"Geunyeoneun gwaenchanh-ayo, Appa." I said as I continued what I was doing, while my phone was in my other ear.

Translated: "She's fine, Dad."

"Jal dwaessneyo. Eojjaessdeun naeil jeonhwa hae. Gwaenchanh-a?"

Translated: "That's good. Anyway, call me, tomorrow. Okay?"

"Ne, Appa."

After the call, I looked out my window when I saw Lucky waving.

I immediately went downstairs and was surprised when she suddenly hugged me vdry tightly.

"Nan dangsin-eul geuliwo halgeoya." she said and I could see her tears welled from her eyes.

Translated: "I'm going to miss you."

"Nado geuliulgeoya." I said to her.

Translated: "I'll miss you, too."

I slowly picked up the bracelet, I had bought a long time ago, for her.

Her eyes widened when she saw it. Her jaw dropped.

"Lucky, don't forget about me, Okay? I'll be back. I promised." I said to her and held her the bracelet.

"I'll just look at the moon and the stars." she said, which it made my heart beat faster and I can't even explain the emotions that I have felt for now.

I just hugged her again...

I closed my e yes and sighed widely.

After the photoshoot, I went here to calmed my senses and heartbeat.

I washed my hands with full of irritations and I looked myself in front of this big mirror.

It's over, Alex. You can't turn back the time. You can't change the past and predict the future.

What's coming... is coming.

Forget about her...
