The Cursed Luna's Return

The Cursed Luna's Return

Shadows of the Past Moonlight faintly glistened through the shattered windows of the old cabin, creating eerie shapes on the floorboards. Aria lingered in the doorway, her breath haggard. This place — this desolate structure deep in the forest — was where everything had begun. The aroma of damp moss and rotting wood mingled with a subtle hint of something she could never forget: blood. Her heart ached as she brushed her fingers against the wall, recalling the screams, the betrayal, the night her life unraveled.

Shadows Of Goodbye

Shadows Of Goodbye

Then everything went black as I was shrouded in the shadows of goodbye to all that I had ever known. After what must have been hours later, I awoke in an unfamiliar place. Fog surrounds me as hooded figures chant in a strange language. I try to move but I can't because my arms and legs are tied to a boulder with weird cravings in it. I try to scream but my voice comes out as a mere whisper. Shadows dance on the walls of this desolate cave before the ground begins to shake. The hooded figures fall to their knees and keep their eyes on the trembling ground.

Accidentally Become Alpha's Breeder

Accidentally Become Alpha's Breeder

Liam asked but Ramos totally ignored him and held the paper in the sky, in front of the moon. "What are you doing?" Grace whispered and went close to Ramos when the next moment she gasped after seeing how words started floating in the paper. Even Liam was left stunned, "f*ck! They left a message in dark?" "This is why they're known as Shadow," Ramos said as he finally started reading it alongside Liam. Even Grace started reading the words written with blood.

Marked in Shadows

Marked in Shadows

The flickering sparks danced across her smiling face, but in that glow, I suddenly saw Alyssa's silhouette from last year's Moon Goddess Festival. She was standing by the altar, setting off her own fireworks. "Matteo, this color is so beautiful." I snapped back to reality and blinked hard. "What's wrong? You don't look so good," Sabrina said, coming to stand in front of me. I shook my head with a frown, and Sabrina grabbed another firework and went to play by the shore alone. Why did Alyssa's shadow keep haunting my mind? I grew increasingly irritated. I sat on the rocks for a long time before finally pulling out my phone and opening Alyssa's chat window.

His Shadowed Desires

His Shadowed Desires

The situation I was in helped me recollect my thoughts. He sat in the chair Marcus had occupied earlier, his elbows resting on the armrests, his fingers steepled in front of him. His dark eyes locked onto mine with an anger that made my blood turn to ice. Alexander Wolfe, the man behind the syndicate. The man who could make people disappear with a single word. He was terrifyingly calm, but his scrunched up face reflected the anger radiating from him like heat from a furnace. “Cassandra I presume,” he said, his voice low and measured.

The Rejected Tribrid

The Rejected Tribrid

The weight of my past presses down on me, threatening to overwhelm my resolve. As I round a corner, I come face to face with a spectral figure from my past. It is a ghostly reflection of myself, filled with regrets and sorrows that I thought I had long buried. The figure reaches out to me with hands that tremble with unspoken truths, eyes filled with longing. “You can't escape your past,” the spectral figure whispers, their voice a haunting echo in the darkness. “Embrace it, or be forever lost in its shadows.”

Shadows of the Lost

Shadows of the Lost

Luis would try to argue that the result wouldn’t be the same when she’s not around, but he only ended up getting a beating for being “hard-headed.” For weeks on end, Gemimaro’s shadow tried to accomplish what the real one would have had she not went for her work. Luis never argued, for how could he do so when he couldn’t hear the shadow. All he could do was to follow instruction through complicated hand gestures and, if the Shadow’s in the mood, letters formed by its own flexible body.

Probably the most challenging story I have written. With about 5 drafts and two years of crafting, it’s my longest work. It’s thrilling. I revisit it sometimes and, he, even I get overwhelmed and awed. I mean, it feels like I’m not the one who wrote it.

I love the world building of this novel! Even when you’re only in chapter one you can already see how the author meticulously planned the settings of the story. It’s descriptive so even if the world is new and unfamiliar the readers could still easily imagine what it’s like.

Past the Crossroads of No Return

Past the Crossroads of No Return

Now, all at once, it hit me that everything I had given over the years had been nothing more than a one-sided effort. I was just about to book a flight when I realized I had forgotten my ID and passport, so I had no choice but to return home. The moment I opened the door, I was greeted by a mess all over the floor. Leftover snacks were scattered everywhere, along with half-finished dishes left behind. Right by the bedroom door lay something impossible to miss—a box of levonorgestrel pills and a piece of wine-red lingerie. Willow had never liked being physically intimate with me. Even Naomi's existence had come from a drunken incident.

FALLEN PROMISE

FALLEN PROMISE

he said, taking her hand and squeezing it gently, his warmth enveloping her like the sun’s rays on a cool morning. Carmela didn’t reply, but in her heart, she knew that was her wish too. The desire to let go of the past, to embrace the present without the heavy shadows that clung to her, was strong. It was as if each mile they traveled toward Eldoria was pulling her closer to the edge of something—an invisible threshold where the past and present collided. She had spent years trying to bury the pain, to live a life untouched by the memories that haunted her. But she knew that returning to Eldoria meant facing those ghosts, no matter how much she yearned for freedom from their hold.

The Billionaire’s Bride

The Billionaire’s Bride

It was a diffuse feeling, difficult to pinpoint, but it gnawed at her like a psychic parasite. Kael, drawing upon his knowledge of ancient texts, discovered unsettling parallels between the whispers and legends of a race known as the Umbrae – shadow beings who thrived on negative emotions and could twist them into insidious weapons. The legends spoke of their eradication millennia ago, but could they have returned?
