Let me tell you it never felt more true then at this very moment. Forcing my eyes open with the bit of energy I have left, while the most awful pain I have ever felt rage through my being, feeling awfully similar to when a thousand horses tap dance on one's soul, my eyes adjust to the environment and I see a white BMW speeding away from the scene. After that my eyes began to droop shut. The fear of being left out to die slowly crept into my thoughts. The mixture of cold, excruciating pain and fear was finally enough for the darkness to swallow me like a midnight snack.

They were free—truly free—after spending months as lab rats. Alpha Dante coughed up blood as he ran out of the lab. He stared down the street, and a mischievous glint passed through his eyes. “Stop! Don’t go, my pupils!!” He roared, his voice echoing down the street, but the kids didn’t answer him.

The first thing Olivera saw when she stepped into the hole where the passageway stopped was the largeness of the space, which could contain more than five thousand people. Then she saw the tubes, the boiling liquids and the lab rats. A modern lab. ‘Where are you?’ She asked the girl, needing to get out of here; it was making her nauseous. Ten more minutes here, and she might be vomiting all over the place. And there was the fact that she didn’t know when the soldiers would be waking up.

The others went back to their workstations. They decided to finish their part of the tasks and do some experiments to keep their mind off of the humanoid and to help them focus their attention on what they need to do at the moment. The research lab was filled again with the rustling of papers and tinkling of glasses. Sometimes you'll even be able to hear small explosions due to the wrong diagnosis of their experiments. This keeps the six of them busy until the end of their shift.
