"We're here to shut you down, Vane," Leo said, stepping forward. The boy's voice was steady, his grey eyes locked on the hologram. "Shut me down? No, little one," Vane laughed. The sound echoed through the craters outside, a booming, mechanical roar. "You’re here to be integrated. The Earth was just the petri dish. The experiment was always meant to end here." Suddenly, the floor beneath them shifted. Hexagonal plates slid back, revealing a pit of roiling violet energy.

The Labyrinth Entry The entrance gaped like a beast’s throat—twenty metres wide, as tall, a stone arch flayed by floodlights so that deep carvings cast jagged shadows. Labrys marks—double axes—glimmered where water ran down grooves older than empires. Cables snaked along the ground, feeding rows of lamps that pushed the dark only so far. As if someone had scanned me while I slept. “Place them in the second-floor suite,” Vanessa told her assistants. I stood there, frozen. Half in awe. Half in horror. Clothes whispered against hangers. Shoes gleamed beneath soft light. The walls started to close in with labels I’d never dared to touch, let alone own.

About five of them. “All of them were given the same poisonous drug that mother has and last night, I gave them the drug. I gave two both the drug and the pills. If a living organism is overgrown, it can go astray and become a dangerous kind of species. So after we took a little we put that potion in a safe place so that no animal or even a human could drink that. We looked closely at the rat and were shocked to see it move fast inside a small cage. It annoyed me that the woman who tampered with the vials knew exactly which ones were the medicine that I was focused on. It made me think that there could be a rat somewhere near me. If there was, it would have to be someone who had access to the lab and would have been around while I made the medicine. I could think of a handful of people who fit that criteria. A proper investigation needs to happen so that we can find out if there are more rats hiding in the shadows.
