The oubliette was supposed to be a secret dungeon, thus, I expected it to be a highly secured area. The lift halted, but before the doors could slide open, I held them under my control and they slid enough to allow an eye to peep outside. As anticipated, I perceived a long corridor with two heavily built security guards carrying rifles and guarding a large metallic door. I closed my eyes for a second attempting to pluck up the courage and aligning my focus with my emotions.

The labyrinth had adapted, and the real test, the one that would define them, was only beginning. The air thickened, heavy with anticipation, as they stepped into the widened chamber. Crimson veins pulsed along the walls, glowing brighter, like the heartbeat of the labyrinth itself. Every step echoed against the stone, bouncing back distorted, making it impossible to distinguish reality from illusion.
