“Well, it’s not great to see you, you pile of dust.” Rai pointed at Tamashi as he spoke. “I’m currently spending my precious time plotting in Tamayo’s cozy mind space, so I’d appreciate it if you left me-“ “STOP CALLING ME TAMAYO!” Tamashi jumped to his feet and marched towards Rai and the old man. “Listen, I’ve had enough of your shit. I was just trying to stop someone from getting run over, and then you show up, and everything goes to hell, then WORST OF ALL-“

Jasmina asked, “You’re not going, right?” “I’m not missing it,” Amara said. Scene Seven – Lisbon, Midnight The old ballroom stank of wine and rotted wealth. Damien waited alone at the head of a broken table. A glass of red in one hand. A pistol on the table. Amara entered without hesitation. He stood. “Amara Varela. The fire queen herself.” She didn’t blink. “Damien Nero. The bastard who crawled out of his father’s corpse.” He laughed. “We have the same blood, you know.”

The clouds hung low and leaden, threatening snow. The weather mirrored my mood with unoriginal fidelity. Cameron entered after a single knock. He handed me another tablet without a word. I studied the images. Photos of Toby Saltzman’s villa in Ponta do Sol. Men enjoying lap dances from entirely naked women. Close-ups of men with their mouths around dancers’ nipples, of women kneeling between spread legs. This was the scene that had so disgusted Hyacinth she had fled. I wondered what she would think if she saw what was upstairs.

"My feet are sore! She cried out, going crazy. A maid in the room grabbed a bottle of coconut oil, then sat on a small stool in front of Tamina, then began to massage her feet. Tamina was wearing a plain, loose white gown, her protruding stomach shooting out through the gown. Her breast jingled underneath the gown, sore and heavy. She wasn't wearing any jewelry, her red hair was let down, her body was undergoing little changes, and her cheeks were slightly chubby. She munched on the banana mannerlessly, then threw the peel away without any care in the world. Just then a maid walked in with a box in her hand. Tamina was lying on her back while on her bed, but she sat up when she saw the maid.

Mr. Paul followed Lila into a room that looked untouched. The room was dark, save for the moonlight that filtered in through the open balcony doors. He paused for a moment, taking in the scene. The air was cool, carrying a faint trace of garden jasmine from outside. His eyes adjusted to the dim light, finding Lila standing on the balcony, her silhouette framed by the night. The moonlight lay softly on her skin, making her appear almost ethereal. She had captured his attention the moment he saw her at the party, and he had been waiting for a chance to be alone with her.

She has always enjoyed being the center of attention, and without a doubt, she was getting every bit of it. “Hey,” a soft-spoken person says from behind. Clair turned from the woman staring at the young lady bold enough to walk up to her. With scorn in her voice, she damned. “And who may you be?” the young lady smiled, her eyes glittering under the shimmering light of the room. “Alice Tamara,” she replied, her smile never fading. Clair scoffed so loudly a few could hear it despite the loud match playing. “Luna of the Lake Pack?” she demanded, and the young lady nodded.

I cut in just as she was about to answer my question. She looked at Elijah but he still gave her no attention. Her face turned into a scowl and then she quickly coverd it witha afake smile. "Okay, Camila is it" she asks, flashing me a smile I knew a little too well. "It's Mrs Camorra, don't get it wrong, now shoo shoo" I say waving me hand at her for her to leave. After Linda stormed out, I smacked Elijah in his chest, causing him to look at me in confusion.

I raised my head to him, curious. “And where's this person?” They brought in a lady, flinging her right on the floor. “She's Larissa sir, the lady Zamora’s handmaiden.” I remembered seeing her with Zamora on various occasions, so it wasn't a bad catch. Surely, she must know where her lady is. She shook with fear as they brought her before me. A cloud of tears had welled in her eyes, ready to trickle down her face. “Where's Zamora!!” I thundered, watching her recoil like a frightened hen. I ogled hard at her, awaiting words from her.

Something about her made me feel warm, as if I had seen her somewhere before. She slowly approached me and, without hesitation, I crawled backward until my back was against the wall. "Who are you?" I stuttered. The lady stretched out her hand, her smile never wavering for once. "My name is Tamara," she said. I eyed her weirdly and that was enough for her to get the hint. She cleared her throat and placed her hands behind her back. "How are you feeling?" she asked. I could sense sincerity in her tone, but I reminded myself that she was not to be trusted. No one was. Everyone in the Moon Tribe pack had automatically become my enemies.

So, please kindly move out of my way. The big burly man did not move. I tried to shove him out of the way, but the aftershock of the sudden movement caused me to crumple to the floor in pain. I let out a sharp cry as I clutched the injured appendage. Eli scooped me off the floor and brought me a few feet back to the couch. “You’re not in any condition to leave, Tamara. Like I said, my aunt is a nurse, she can help take care of you. Stay, at least until you’re healed enough to walk properly.”
