Largest Libraries In The Us Novels & Stories

And Mark absolutely could not accept that. Just as he was rapidly thinking of an excuse, Mr. Agnihotri solved his problem himself. “You didn’t come here to discuss my application, did you?” he asked. “A few days ago, I had requested you to provide some funds for the University library. I didn’t expect you to show interest in it so soon.” If compared with other libraries in the city, the Loyola University library was already quite large. Almost all kinds of facilities were available there for students. But some time ago, Mr. Simon Miler had the opportunity to inspect some of the best universities abroad. After seeing their fully digitalized libraries, he suddenly realized that the library of

Chloe said with amusement, "he could, I don't know, tell us something about his life in New York.” Everyone turned to see me intrigued, even Emma herself wanted me to blurt out something. "There aren't very interesting things to tell," I said to get out of the way. "Come on, you lived in New York, so you must have a lot to say about your experiences in the city," Callum said before taking a big sip of soda. "Libraries are one of the best things about it, from the public library to the Morgan Museum, they're beautiful places," I admitted, saying something true. “There I supplemented more about computers; I met many people who were looking for something and I became known for...”

He released her and opened the doors, “I saved the best for last.” The doors opened and revealed the largest library Eddie had ever seen. The academy and the royal library paled in comparison. “This is our family’s private collection. The heads of the Claiborne’s have been collecting rare books to add to this library for generations. Every head, except for my father, made it a mission to add at least 1,000 books by the time they die.” Alex winked at Eddie, “I’ve already collected 2,000 new books.” “It’s amazing,” Eddie’s mouth hung open as she slowly made her way through the massive library. It had to take up an entire wing of the estate, “Who catalogs all this? Who has access to all this?”

“Have you seen the library of congress?” I asked. “I haven’t.” “It’s the largest library in the world. But I guess this place is larger.” The ceiling of the library was so high that it almost reached my pride. Hanging from it were five gigantic, ancient chandeliers with the brightest light I’ve ever seen. Its diamonds glitter as light touches it.

I'll only stop reading books when I die. I walk into the library and slowly close the door behind me. My mouth falls open when I see how huge the library is. Prince Virgil certainly hadn't been exaggerating when he said the library might probably have the largest collection of books in the world. There are shelves upon shelves of books that they almost reach the ceiling. I inhale deeply and the lovely smell of books just waiting to be read fills me with so much joy. I walk towards the shelf closest to me and pick up a book. Luckily, it's a fiction book and the title seems quite interesting.

“Right. With a few exceptions.” “Well, libraries aren’t allowed any exceptions. The books have to be in perfect order at all times. You can’t do that with just sorting by genre and then alphabetizing.” “Yeah, that’s what the Dewey Decimal system is for, right?” “But there isn’t just Dewey. There’s the Library of Congress classification system. Dewey is a clean, efficient system, ten main classes divided by ten and so on. The Library of Congress is alpha-numeric and based on 26 classes, one for each letter of the alphabet. Compared to Dewey it is crude and confusing, and I only had the library that way because of Maggie. It’s what she was used to.”

“Is the Owusu library the largest?” I ask Ami, while she is teaching me about navigation. Unfortunately, my mind keeps on getting distracted. I just found out that navigation is something I don’t enjoy. Right now, Nadif and Elroy are taking a break or covering up for Ami’s tasks, while she teaches me. According to her, it will be our ‘bonding’. I just didn’t know that bonding can be so sleep-inducing. “Nope. Right now, the largest library is in Orttenburg. Once we arrive there, you will see why.”

“This is the thirteenth largest library owned by Herald.” I was greeted with tall shelves that were full of books. Wow. Our school library or even our town library couldn’t compare to that repertoire. Has Sean read all of the books there? Maybe those were business books that’re full of graphs, economic statuses, and etc. They say that a CEO’s average read in a year is 60 books. Awesome, right? After all, learning doesn’t stop after graduation. “All of them are literary books,” she said. I smiled. So that meant they’re all stories?

River – POV The library was massive. Not just big—massive. Bigger than the one at Crescent Moon, and that one had been the largest I’d ever seen until now. But this… this was something else entirely. The scent of old paper, wood polish, and something earthy—maybe the aged floors—wrapped around me the moment I stepped in. It was quiet, peaceful… like stepping into another world where time slowed down and all that mattered were the stories, the knowledge, the whispers tucked between pages.
