Croft stood up from the table and walked to the shelves full of books, lost in thought. She continued. "So I sent a scum of the earth after your second in command," She said. I frowned as I realized that I was a pawn in my father's games and the play was still ongoing even after his demise. "If The Salamander worked for you, why did he mention the Laughing Dogs?" I asked. "That was his role to play," Croft answered me in a cold tone. "My role was to wipe out the Laughing Dogs," I said in realization.

he snapped running his hand over his face with a tired gesture, "And I'll say it was your fault, so pray it's okay, what about the foundations?" He closed the laptop without waiting for a response from the other person and kept looking at me expectantly until I decided to speak. “Sorry to interrupt,” I said feeling suddenly an intruder when listening to their conversation “But your absence woke me up and―”

“Carter is in. The shipments will be arriving soon. I don’t know what you said to him but it worked. “ Of course, it fucking worked. I was the most powerful and dangerous man in New York. A lot of his actions were motivated by fear. I was unforgiving and everybody knew it. Carter was smart to accept my escorts, drinks, and deals. “Be ready for him and be careful. “ “What did you do? All I had to do was stroke his ego by telling him he has the best ammo and product in the business. “ “Okay. Where are you? I thought you would want to see this shipment for yourself. It is the biggest one yet. Is there so

He went mute for a while before speaking the almighty name, “Alpha Vogarthy.” I watched as he breathed in. He continued. “If Alpha Leo is dead, we will need to see his body or his remains. We need something to prove that he is no more.” “And after it has been proven?” “The crowning of a new Alpha will officially begin.” The old man said just what I wanted to hear.
