Her Last Death

Her Last Death

Lysara was standing there, her dark presence spreading out like a stain on fine fabric, yet even she seemed a bit shaken. No one spoke at first. Then one elder stepped forward from the shadows. White hair. Hollow eyes. Skin stretched too tightly across ancient bones. He gazed straight into my eyes and softly spoke a single word, its meaning lost in the depths of time, a language so ancient it seemed to echo with the whispers of forgotten centuries. I didn’t understand it. But Cassian went perfectly still beside me. The elder’s expression held no curiosity. Only fear. Ice spread through my veins. Whatever I was becoming—

My Last Walk Home

My Last Walk Home

The desk was still there. But everything else was gone. No sketchbook. No backpack. No me. Mom stood in the doorway, staring into the empty room for a long time. Then she slowly shut the door, went back to the couch, and held my school jacket again. Her eyes were dry, but her lips kept moving. She kept saying my name. "Vienna." "Vienna." "Vienna." I floated beside her and reached out one last time for her hair. This time, somehow, she felt something.

THE LAST DANCE

THE LAST DANCE

"I'm so excited. My brother told me you're the best in Abuja. He said you used to dance in Lagos. He said you were famous. I've been so worried about the first dance—I don't want to step on my husband's feet. I'm a terrible dancer, really. Everyone says so. I have two left feet. I'm completely hopeless." Zara blinked. She had not expected this. This girl was nothing like Dante. She was sunshine and light and complete, joyful chaos. "I'm sure you're not hopeless," Zara said carefully. "Everyone has rhythm. It's just a matter of finding it." "See?" Amara turned to Dante, who was leaning against the doorframe, watching them. "I told you she'd be nice. Most people are so mean about my dancing."

Last Flight Home

Last Flight Home

She choked, unable to get the words out. "It's all in the past," I interrupted calmly. She lifted her head. In her bloodshot eyes, the faint glimmer of hope–the desperate longing for redemption–finally went out. "The story between you and me," I said, looking out the window, "ended last winter, along with the child who never had the chance to be born." I stood up, making it clear the visit was over. She did not move. After a long while, as if gathering the last of her strength, she slowly rose to her feet, her steps unsteady.

Home At Last

Home At Last

The moment the servants scattered, the last wisp of air left my lungs. My soul drifted weightlessly out of my body. I hovered in a daze, half-transparent, and softly asked the system in my mind, 'Can you transmit me now? I want to go home.' But the system's mechanical voice was flat and unyielding: [Only once the male and female leads acknowledge your death can you exit this world.] I paused for a moment, then let it go. I'd survived decades—what was a little more waiting?

Anything But Porcelain

Anything But Porcelain

I'll show you that I am not nothing" The video ended after she played the last notes of the song. A black slide flashed on the screen with white lettering: She was brave, broken, loyal, true, and so much more…Anything, but Porcelain -------------------------------- After the screen went black Dracon stood up to say some final words “We are now going to allow those who wish to say their final goodbyes to her body. I would advise you to be mindful there a lot of people and after everyone has said their goodbyes we will take her to the burial place and bury her”

This book is by far one of the best books I have read on here. Many laughs and many, many tears. I recommend this book to anyone who loves a strong female lead along with supernatural entities. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.

Wonderful book though there are gruesome and painful torturous moments but the main lead is a brave, strong, kind hearted, positive and loving lady. Her positive outlook and disposition is commendable. Plenty of twist, hope, love lovely moments then psin real painful to read.. Hope for more lovely b

Diaries of a Hybrid and Her Mate

Diaries of a Hybrid and Her Mate

Deep pleasure of satisfaction washed over me, and at that very moment, something snapped in me, and I was ready to give them the show of their lives. A dance they will never forget! It would be one that will be forever inscribed in their memories. This was my last night and my last chance to leave it all on the floor, giving my all, for there was no going back after this. I was moving forward and was saying goodbye to this place and doing it my way in tonight's performance. My last dance must be talked about for years; every time someone new leaves the club and moves on, they will remember that one dancer who set the place on fire with her last performance.
