Demon energy began releasing everywhere, and the air was filled with a stench. Willow covered her nose as the world in her eyes began to contort. Had she been poisoned? Willow was alarmed. She started channeling the Detoxification Technique to try and force the python's venom out of her. She coughed up black-colored blood not long after. However, she still felt weak and a little dizzy. This could not continue. Chase would look down at her. Willow forced herself to channel another mystical technique, and her mind cleared up. She channeled the Mystical Shadow Steps.

That, along with Dante's presence, was enough for her. Willow stood beside the stream and shut her eyes. She listened to the rushing of water over tiny pebbles. The whistle of the wind through the branches. The rustle of the leaves of the canopy. Willow spread her arms out away from her sides with her palms facing outward. The breeze grazed her cheeks, her nose and her neck. It ruffled her black locks. She shifted her focus inward into herself. Each breath inhaled and exhaled through her lungs. The steady heartbeat in her chest. The white energy that pulsed deeper past her heart. She imagined reaching out to it and grabbing it gently, like it was this delicate being.

My alarm was going off so I rolled over and turned it off. I heard my mother hollering from down the stairs. "Willow get up. Your going to be late." I pulled the blanket over my head and yawned. I knew I should've went to bed earlier but I was just starting to get into a really good book and I just couldn't put it down. My name is Willow Addison. I am sixteen and starting my junior year in high school. I have always been a bookworm I guess you can say. Not that I didn't have friends but I have just always been into my studies. I kept impecable grades and stayed out of trouble.

Willow's heart was soaring, and she knew it was only a matter of time before it came crashing back to reality, but she didn't let that dampen her mood. When she walked into her store, she remembered that she hadn't cleaned up last night in her rush to see Garin. With a groan, she trudged back to the utility closet for the cleaning supplies. She flipped on the radio as she wiped down the tables, singing softly along, the strong scent of the lemon cleaner filling her nose.

Something we weren’t prepared for. That evening, Willow went outside to practice her powers, like she did every day now. I could see the tension in her shoulders and the way she tried to control the magic that bubbled inside her. She wasn’t just learning to control it, though. She was learning to understand it and learning how to wield it in a way that could protect us all. We followed her outside, as we always did, staying close by. I stayed back, watching her tense shoulders move her hands to throw a ball of fire. There was something beautiful about the way we all moved together now. It was like we were finally in sync, finally functioning as one.

Willow smelled the pinch pots of herbs and combined a delicious smelling mixture tied it together and added it to the pot of boiling water. Cassia washed the nuts and set them by the fire to dry and cure. “These acorns will make an amazing flour when soaked dried and ground up.” She commented “listen to me I sound like this is going to be a long term situation.” “Would it be such a bad thing?” Willow quietly asked. “My Da is supposed to come and find us in 3 days” Cassia replied. “Oh.” Willow replied with an air of disappointment. “What’s wrong don’t you want to go back to the village?” Cassia inquired.
