Leanna asked. “Always.” I giggled. The two of us laughed as I replied to his last text. Leanna was the gamma’s daughter and one of my very close friends. She was beautiful, with long, perfectly curly black hair with natural turquoise streaks that matched her eyes. Most others thought she coloured her hair like me, but that was not the case. From what she had told, she had a smidge of fae blood in her on her mother's side. I thought it was cool that I learned about the supernatural world. If most humans only knew who they lived next to or who they walked by on the street. Everything they thought was fantasy was actually real.

*** After Leanna returned to the apartment, she called Zoey downstairs. Zoey saw Leanna leaning against the back of the sofa as if she had lost all her strength. She walked over and asked, "How are you?" Leanna took a deep breath and said, "I successfully made Madam faint, and then I told Sir the message you asked me to convey." "Is Madam doing well?" "I'm feeling a bit dizzy. When do you plan to go see Madam?" "At night." Leanna said, "I feel like I'm not into design anymore, I might even enter the entertainment industry and maybe become an actress."

“I swear, Lady Selene, I will tell your brother everything. Let him come here and burn this place to the ground!” “No,” I said quickly, stepping closer. “It hasn't gotten to that.” She stared at me with wild eyes. “It has! You are a princess! You shouldn't have to go through this!” “Maybe I don’t. But I’m not going to cause a war.” Leena dropped to her knees in the water, her shoulders shaking. “I hate them,” she choked out. “I hate every one of them.” I reached for her hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze. “We’ll clean this. We’ll start over.”

Mom demanded an answer. Mon urged me to go back inside. Desperate, I went back inside and decided to tell them Leona’s story. It would be hard to believe, but some stories are true. “Are you joking? Because this isn’t a good joke Darren!” Mom admonished, feeling shocked. “I wish I am, Mom, but I am not. Leona grew up in the world of werewolves. She was their slaves.” “Oh, God, that is horrible! Are they going to execute her now?”

The two young people sat alone, having coffee and getting to know each other. Leanna came from a wealthy family and had studied abroad. She was now a successful lawyer. In many ways, she was well-matched with Lorian. However, Lorian knew in his heart that he didn’t genuinely like strong, career-oriented women. Perhaps it was his inherent nature, but he still preferred gentler women. One woman came to mind… Lorian seemed distracted. A cup of hot coffee steamed in front of him, blurring his handsome features. Leanna looked at his striking appearance and quite liked him.

I don't speak because I have nothing to say and another thing, that I am one of them. "If you just keep doing what you're doing Clementine, that's good." Leana said and smiled. "Don't you have a tongue now?" Leona asked so I was surprised. "I-i have." I said. "Why aren't you talking?" Leana asked. "Because I'm shock." I answered and nodded. "Oh? Are you shock? Hahahahaha" Leana laughed. "You know Clementine, in what you've done, you shouldn't be counted. We've been asking for a long time to have our youngest counterpart because he has a very bad habit." Leona said.

When tomorrow rises, there will be changes to come. “Hold on,”, Lyv put down the paper back on the table, the pen rolling off the table completely. “You mean to say that all this time, we never knew what the other world was called?” Leah was still reading whatever was on the fragile paper. Still grasping the contents of it. “This is…” she paused, her whole face brightened up the more she read it over and over again. “This is a huge history of the other world! How everything was named, how I’m a Flihths and,”, she looks at Lyv, her whole face filled with excitement. “This is the history that has been lost.”

“Let’s save Trevor.” I agreed with her idea, but it still raised a question. “You’re not fighting?” Leana’s eyes trembled slightly, doubt clouding her gaze. “I... I think I can’t shift.” I almost choked at her words. “You what?” Leana raised her hands one by one, giving them a quick inspection while flipping them over in confusion. “I can’t shift,” she repeated. “I think that bastard did something to me while I passed out.” Then she looked at me. “And I think he did something to Trevor, too.”

“Katherine, you were there when they grabbed those guys. What do you think we should do with them?” The whole room went dead silent. Everybody is staring. My face got hot. She knew I hated this. I opened my mouth and nothing smart came out. “Uh… follow the law I guess? There’s rules for this stuff.” Leona smiled like I just handed her a gift. “The law. So safe. So boring.” She sat back. “That’s the thing. I actually know the law. I’ve read every stupid page since I was a kid. But our future Luna over here… not so much.”

She picked up the key card one last time, slipping it into her pocket. Then she looked toward the door. Toward the future. And this time, she wasn’t afraid. Somewhere in the World… Leena walked through the bustling streets of Bangkok, blending into the crowd. She had left Ayesha everything. Everything she had fought for. Everything she had stolen. Everything she had once thought only she could handle. And she still wasn’t sure why. Maybe it was guilt. Maybe it was exhaustion. Or maybe, just maybe… She still believed in her sister.
