Pucking Forbidden Claim
A nurse nearby sighs, looking up from the chart she’s holding.
“He checked himself out,” she says simply, like this is just another discharge, just another patient leaving too soon. “He got dressed and walked out, I saw him on cctv. We can’t force him to stay.”
I breathe hard through my nose, my mind already moving to the next problem. He’s alone. “Was he with anyone?” I demand. “You’re sure he was alone?”
She hesitates for a second, like she’s running through her memory, then nods. “Yeah. He left on his own.”
