I watched him scream my name endlessly in the infirmary, lost in madness, and I sighed.
I tore my gaze away and made my way to Zachary in the graveyard. He stood before my tombstone, his face empty of the sorrow and hopelessness he had shown right after I died.
I told myself he would soon put this in the past and learn to live again. But then he reached into his pocket, produced a small box, and set a beautiful ring before my headstone, a bitter smile tugging at his lips.
