I nodded but then thought for a second, “How do I know this is real?” I asked, “Am I truly here?” She giggled and got down to my level, “Look to your daughter for reassurance. Then you will know.” It didn’t make any sense, but I knew better than to argue with the Moon Goddess, real or not. I nodded then turned back to my family, “I’m ready.” Before I knew it, I was screaming as I felt my daughter leave my body. “It’s a girl.” The doctor announced; Andrew kissed my lips and made sure I was okay before meeting her. “Let me just make sure you’re okay, Mrs. Levette.”

Laura 5 years later "Mommy, please wake up. You have to take me to daycare." I heard my daughter's voice waking me up, so I opened my eyes. She was lying on top of me, spreading cute little kisses on my face. She was an adorable five-year-old girl with beautiful turquoise blue eyes. Blue. startlingly clear sea blue, and my tears begin to fall again. It’s almost as if the little angel had heard my silent wish before she came into the world and decided to hold on to that piece of her mother.
