Nothing big happened in those months, so I took it that the changes are alright, and I’m doing quite well. It was on Leilani’s thirteenth birthday that something shifted in our group dynamics. It started when a boy from a different class walked inside Leilani’s house and the birthday girl blushed deeply. She talked to the guy— whose name is Clove— in a way I never saw her act— very demure. Leilani blushed every time she looked at his face, and her usually high-pitched voice went awfully soft when she told him something. She kept on tucking her hair behind her ears, which she actually never cared about before.

Offering my snarky remarks and ungenial comments. But it wasn’t anyone else. It was Sienna. The future Luna of this pack. And she was currently, very inelegantly, trying to run away from me. She seemed to have not rhought her escape route through properly however, when she came to an abrupt halt, cliging to the down pipe like her life depended on it. The looked about herself, apparently unsure what to do next. It was at that point that everything happened incredibly quickly. The one screw that held the pipe to the wall fell loose, quickly followed by the pipe breaking free from the bracket, and swinging down through the air in a wide ark towards the floor below.

"I'm Sean and welcome to Lakeland Falls High." Leilani's slate eyes measured the complete five plus, almost six feet inched height of male in front of them before deciding she didn't like him. Something about the smile and his hidden eyes seemed deceptive. "Yeah so what?" She snarled. "Are you like part of the welcoming party or something?" Sean's almost angelic features registered shock at her little command. "N-no I just wanted to welcome you guys, that's all." Leilani eyed him and snorted for his benefit. "Thank you for welcoming us," she said not sounding appreciative and looped her arms with Adana. "But we can find our way around without your help."

I looked up from the floor and saw the beautiful brunette from the pictures. "Luna, this is Channing. She has just joined the pack," Allen announced. I saw her nod, then they both kinda zoned out. Probably mind linking. She gasped and quickly kneeled down to me. "What are you doing Lainee?" I heard a muffled voice in the room question. Luna, or Lainee stood up. "I'm kneeling before a warrior wolf. The Alpha of the Black Moon Warriors," she replied awestruck. Before I could even say anything a girl with black hair like Allen's popped out of the room looked at me before bowing like her Luna.

Neil muttered, leading me further away, but then I heard Brooke’s voice blaring from the speakers next. “I am Brooke, Business Manager of DELILAH fashion brand. I have to clear the air about this incident, and I humbly apologize on behalf of Mrs. Leilani Giles. That was not the audio clip Mrs. Giles had recorded for this show, and I would want you all to kindly understand, that this is all a big misunderstanding, and I suspect foul play is involved. Investigations will immediately commence to get to the bottom of this matter, but please, I urge us to enjoy the rest of the event. Thanks, you for your time.”

She just needed more time. Leah was set to be mated to Theo in three weeks. Obviously that wasn’t happening anymore. But she had until then to figure out a different solution. As she began showering and making herself presentable, her mind began to go through all the different possible alternatives. She knew why her brother Gabriel didn’t want to get mated again, and she felt for him. His mate had only been gone for a little over two years. But her other brothers could step up as well. They were not mated, and had never been mated.

she said, her voice still filled with longing. Dr. Brooks smiled kindly, her eyes understanding. "I know, Leilani. And soon, you'll have the chance to experience the world in a whole new way." Dr. Brooks' hands moved with precision and care, her focus solely on the task at hand. The air was thick with tension, yet filled with a sense of possibility, as they all waited to see the outcome of this groundbreaking procedure. As the procedure concludes, Leilani feels a subtle yet profound change within her body. Her senses begin to shift, and she feels an strange tingling sensation in her neck and ears.
