Leo followed the light which led him to a treasure box with purple light emitting from it and purple smoke coming from behind. As soon as Leo touched the treasure box, the smoke stopped and the light got brighter and once the door was opened the purple light emitting completely vanished and all Leo could see in the chest was an old tattered paper, a purple-colored sword, a skill rock and a black coat with a hood.

"Charge!" The valley exploded into violence. The two armies slammed together with a sound like a mountain collapsing. Leo led the first wave, his smaller stature making him a blur of lethal precision. He slid under the guard of a towering, skeletal warrior, his blade glowing with a spark of his mother’s lunar fire. "For the Moon!" Leo shouted, his voice cracking but firm. He severed the creature’s legs, and as it fell, he didn't look back. "Keep the line! Don't let them break the center!"

Leo hissed walking away. Darby looked dazed but that didn't stop her from running after him. The tears were beginning to fall nonstop. "Leo, you can't do this to me, please. I promise, I have never had anything with anyone else. You have to believe me. Those are just fake rumors being spread about me."

"Mother! Don't listen to him!" The vault door didn't open; it exploded inward as a pulse of violet and gold energy tore through the celestial chrome. Leo stood in the doorway, his twenty-one-year-old form wreathed in the starlight of the Ninth Cycle. His emerald eyes were fixed on Jackson, and his starlight sword was already singing the song of the forge. Behind him, I saw the "Un-Gilded" warriors—Kael and Silas, their eyes clouded with the confusion of the shifting timelines, but their hands steady on their blades.

Cain’s POV “Leo?” I called out as I entered his house. “In here!” I walked to the dining room before I could enter, he exclaimed. “Don’t step on my lego!” My leg froze over the building block. “Uh…what are you doing?” Leo proudly displayed the castle on the Lego box beside him and then pointed down at his half-complete reenactment. “I am building a castle. The knight is going to go in and fight the dragon.”

Leo ends the phone. Mario groans and moves his body away from my car. "I hate you, Leonardo Alfonsi!" Mario exclaims before leaving. Leo's not only the member of that doomed clan but also the leader?

I cried out, stepping forward. Leo flinched, his hand moving toward the hilt of the training sword at his belt. "Mom, stay back. He... he showed me the ledgers. The real ones." "The 'Scribe' is a liar, Leo," Lucian said, his voice a low, steady rumble. "He’s a remnant of a world that failed."

I got tired of it all and searched the entire time for a weapon for myself, while avoiding his hit at the same time. "I saw from the corner of my left eye that Alpha Theo's mate was eyeing a broken bottle so I left to pick it up, and when I got up I found Leila trying to attack me with a stone she carried in her hands and out of defense I stabbed her with the bottle and I watched her fall. Though I suspected later that she was trying to lure me in by looking at the stone in the first place.“ Leo said, and his eyes welled up after that. He tried to control himself but the huffing was too much, and Anne yet again enclosed his chin in her hands and made at her.

I couldn't feel any muscle definition as I ran my hands over him. “Miss Warrior, that tickles,” Leo giggled as he pulled out of the embrace. He grabbed my hand and led me over to what was clearly his toy box. It was filled to the brim with all the latest toys. Leo began pulling them out one by one and showing them to me.

Eva led him through the first door into a small room, which contained a desk, two chairs, and a single occupant. Leo studied the successor to the Rogue King. Rory was unassuming in every way. He had mouse brown hair, light tan skin, and dull greenish brown eyes. He wore a worn flannel shirt and blue jeans. He smelled faintly of smoke and concrete dust. He could have been any wolf from any pack. “So,” Rory said, hitching his hip up on the desk and crossing his arms. “You're the bastard who murdered my father.” Leo blinked. “Well. That's certainly a unique greeting,” he said. “Most people call me Leo.”
