Ian stepped out of his car just as Harold was thrown outside. The moment their eyes met, Harold broke free from the guards and charged at him, trying to throw a punch. Sadly for him, Ian was stronger as he countered with a single blow that sent Harold crashing to the ground.

I don't know if I should consider that as disowning, or she just wants me to completely get over Nik which I think is impossible because even now that he hurt me, I couldn't bring myself to hate him so much for hiding something. “I guess being in a rich family is a curse, huh?” Harold said with a hint of sadness and regrets in his voice. I gave him a bitter smile. “I’ll agree to what you want, but promise me we'll separate ways after we land in the US.” He nodded and smiled sweetly. “You can trust me on that, Miss Velasquez.” “Just Blakely.” He nodded again. “Then, call me Harold.” “You don't wanna be called princess Harold?”

Farrah says. “I’m hopeful that our pack will have that as well, very soon,” Harold says, grinning at his mate, who blushes again. After breakfast, Yara, Charlie, Noelle, Haynes, Laney, and I walk Harold and his warriors outside, seeing them off. Before he leaves, I pull Harold aside. “I hope all goes well with your marking and mating,” I tell him. He looks past me to where Farrah is talking to Yara and Savannah.

Her delicate features were as exquisite as a painting, and her face was illuminated by the sunlight. Wayne snapped back to his senses. There was a hint of sadness in his eyes. At that moment, Harold walked out from between them and greeted Elara enthusiastically. "Elara, long time no see," Harold greeted her with familiarity. However, in the seven years Elara had been married to Harvey, she could count on her fingers the number of times they had spoken. Harold's appearance was rather plain. He wore silver-rimmed glasses and had a buzz cut, giving off the look of an honest and dependable person.

Just then, Harold lit up as if he suddenly had a great idea. He had Winona guard me as he moved to tear Sarah's clothes off of her. "Jonathan, I'll have you watch as I pleasure the woman you love. First, it was Winona. Now, it'll be Sarah. You'll be a loser through and through." Sarah could not make a single sound due to the tape over her mouth, so all she could do was struggle as she fought Harold. Winona viciously shouted to her, "Sarah, looks like the day has come. You think you are a dignified heiress. But in your core, you’re just a tart!"

Sharma’s gaze fixated on the dance floor, her expression tinged with regret. “Just so you know, I have nothing against you, Hawthorne.” She said and when I didn’t reply, she gulped her drink in a go and set it in the counter. “A lot happened after you broke up with me and I want to hate you but I can’t.” She provided me with the information, prompting me to narrow my eyes in response. Another sigh escaped her lips as my lack of response persisted. Her attention remained focused on the dance floor, her gaze seemingly fixed there.

“And this must be the wife. The woman who broke the internet.” I feel Jade’s fingers digging into my arm, her knuckles white. She’s staring at Barbara, who is pointedly looking at the dashboard, pretending her own ex-best friend is a total stranger. “Hello,” Jade says. “I’m Harold Vance,” he introduces himself. “We’re leaving, Harold,” I interject before he speaks further. “Say hello to Trisha for me. My mother said she didn't get to see her in the book club the other day.” Harold stiffens. “Ummm—okay. I’ll let her know you said hello.”

Mine was damp and shaking. “What do you think about it?” I asked. The words tumbled out. “Do you think it’s fishy? Lyara showing up now, after five years, as the president of Ashworth Heights? Do you think it’s a coincidence? Do you think she’s—” Harold pulled his hand away gently. “Lila,” he said. “Calm down.”
