The sun was well up over the treetops the next morning, leaving in its wake a flood of gold. But anything less like sunshine would be hard to find, as Sophia hurled herself from side to side in her bed, greatly beset with doubts. What's going on with Daniel? Why does he act so differently? Sophie bit her lip, looking so delicate that it would tug at everyone’s heart. "Ella, don't be upset. Mr. Graham just feels sorry for me being all by myself, which is why he decided to take me out for New Year's. If you really don't want us to go, don't push yourself. I can go on my own. Seriously, Ella. You can stop packing." Sophie tried to grab the suitcase from me, but in the next second, it crashed to the floor. My hands shook as I held the clothes. I didn't know. It's all my fault." "Mr. Cross," I said evenly, "I truly despise you. Stop showing up in my life."

“Why am I here?” “You are Luna. Living in my body,” the voice from earlier replied. “I am Alara. The moon goddess has given you a second chance. You and I now own this body.
