The Luna in Me
Light seeped in as he slid it off, but everything was blurred - blue, gold, shapes melting together.
“There you are,” he murmured. “Look at me.”
I tried. My eyes lifted, blurry and burning, barely focusing on the silhouette above me. His hand cupped my chin, guiding me - controlling even that tiny movement.
“I want you to remember something,” he said quietly. “You obeyed me. Even when you cried. Even when you broke.”
His thumb brushed my mouth - slow, almost tender, but cruel in its intention.
“And that,” he whispered, “is why you’re still breathing.”
