Lies You Never Told Me Novels & Stories

“Luke, I told you not to lie to me again. I’m giving you this chance but… I’m sorry… I don’t think I can ever trust you again.” ***

"Then you're wasting your effort. Lisa has been with me for years—everyone knows how much she loves me! She's only close to you now because she's lost her memory. Once I tell her the truth, she'll come back to me!" Grayson started to respond, but fell silent. The light in his eyes dimmed. He knew Ethan wasn't lying. All these years, he had seen with his own eyes just how deeply I loved Ethan. I caught that shift in his expression clearly and stepped forward. When they saw me, a flicker of panic crossed their faces. Ethan rushed toward me, pointing at Grayson. "Lisa, do you know—" Before he could finish, I cut him off. "Ethan, I'm afraid you'll be disappointed. I never lost my memory."

I bit my lip before speaking again “Hey All, want to share your wound with me? Ah no.." I shake my head “Want to share a happiness with me? Will you step out of your misery? Will you come with me to find the truth behind your family tragedy? Will you come with me to find the truth about our parents? Will you…" "After this don't ever show your face in front of me!" His cold voice cut off my unfinished speech "After this, let's just pretend we never know each other. And this, your final salary…”

“I told you, I’m not telling.” “Come on…” she begs. “I need details.” I shake my head, fighting off a grin. “Nope. Not happening. All you need to know is... it was good.” Her eyes widen, and she lets out a low whistle. “Good? You don’t look like it was good, Honey. You look like it was earth-shattering. I told you, didn’t I?” “Yes. You did and yes, it was.” Lisa grabs her coffee, sitting back down on the couch, completely absorbed. “See? That’s what I was saying! You’ve been missing out. Doesn’t it feel good to, like, finally let loose?”

“Never lie to me? Didn’t you just do that? You lied to me about you and Bryan being over. Tell me, Serene, is that the only lie you made? Or were you also lying when you said that you loved me?” “Justin, I never lied to you about anything. I had always been honest with you. I love you --” “Shut up! Aren’t you repulsed? You love me? That’s the biggest bull I’ve heard in my life.” “Justin, please don’t say that. I love you. I love you so much. That was never a lie. Please, Justin, believe me. I never lied to you…” “Get out, Serene. I don’t want to see you again. I hope you’re no longer here when I come back from my meeting.”

To confirm her thoughts, she raised her left brow and asked, "So what?" "You don't have those when we first met a week ago." "And then?" "Aish! I have a photographic memory! Why don't you just believe that we're telling the truth?" He face-palmed and frowned. She winced. "I don't believe any of you and dear, anyone can have that photographic crap." Looking so done with all the craps she heard today, she shouted out of frustration. "Gosh!" She took a deep breath to calm herself. "I don't know what's happening to you guys, but I think all of you should consult a psychiatrist."

“Will you tell me what happened now?” “Hun?!” Avery looked up in shock. She feigned a smile, lying, “I slipped on the floor and hit my head on the bed,” Layla fixed her eyes on Avery, and noticing the look, Avery knew Layla didn’t believe her. “Believe me, Layla, that’s what happened. I am not lying.” “Did I accuse you of lying?” Layla said calmly. She took Avery’s hand and caged it warmly in her hand. “Talk to me, Avery. Tell me the truth.”

Everett spoke out as he looked at his friends. She bit her lower lip as she lowered her head. "D-Did you e-ever l-love me?" Her heart was pounding. She wanted to hear yes. "No, never." He replied and growled. She stepped back unknowingly. She closed her eyes and nodded. For the last time, she tried to explain. "That Lily is lying. I didn't say anything like that and about your brother, he came to talk to me. But I told him that I want to be with you onl-"

Anthony froze, then blurted out, "You want a divorce? Why?" The moment the words left his mouth, he realized he had misspoken and hurried to correct himself. "Divorce? Don't be ridiculous. My wife is Lisa. How could I ever have married you?" Watching his clumsy performance, I couldn't be bothered to expose his lie or waste breath arguing with him. Instead, I played along with his act. "I tricked you into getting the license. Let's go get divorced now."

Bryan's POV The message buzzed on my phone just as I was about to step into my car. I glanced down, and the screen lit up with Lia's words: "Remember, you deserve the truth. Always." The phrase felt like a cold shard piercing through the warmth I'd been clinging to lately. I locked my phone and shoved it into my pocket, trying to push the unease away. But no matter how hard I tried, the chill lingered, gnawing at me.
