Justin POV The sun dipped low on the horizon, a golden glow casting over the calm waters surrounding my yacht. I leaned against the balcony railing, a glass of wine in my hand. Isabella lay stretched out on the outdoor sofa, her legs curled slightly, her hair spilling over the cushions in soft waves. A book rested in her hands, its cover sporting the title The Glass Castle. Occasionally, she reached for the bowl of strawberries and grapes beside her. She smiled as she read, her fingers grazing the fruit before popping one into her mouth.

“I do. Although, on many nights, I simply like to read with only the lamp on, and the moonlight shimmering overhead. It’s utterly enchanting and so peaceful.” She could picture him like that, reclining on the day bed, a book in hand, the moonlight filtering on him. So sexy. She shook her head to clear her mind from those tantalizing images of him. “What sort of books do you like to read?” she asked. “I read a lot of philosophy—Dostoevsky, Plato, Socrates, Kant...” “That’s…deep,” she said, still skimming over the shelves. “I also read thrillers. Dan Brown, Lee Child, and Matthew Reilly.”

she asked, unable to hide her disbelief. "Of course not," he replied nonchalantly. Lili's eyes widened. "Then why did you make me carry all these?" she asked, feeling anger building up inside her. "So, I can have choices," he responded, causing Lili to roll her eyes. "How many books do you read in a day?" she questioned, feeling skeptical. "Two or three," he said, making her jaw drop. "You made me carry all these books just for you to read two or three?" she exclaimed, feeling cheated.

I honestly might run mad at this point. I reached the library door, hesitating for a brief second before pushing it open. The room was dimly lit, shelves towering with books I doubted anyone had the time to read. A single lamp near the window cast a glow over the large desk where Dylan sat, flipping through a book with an unreadable expression. “You took your time,” he said without looking up. “Why the fuck are you using a lamp to read and not the light bulbs above your head?" I asked ingnoing his statistic words.

Watching television had not quite worked out for Mercy either time that she had tried it, so she decided to spend her day reading a book. Luna Isabella had recommended something called Little Women to her, which she said was a classic, and so far, Mercy was enjoying it.
