Runaway Heiress: The Billionaire’s Forgotten Bride

Runaway Heiress: The Billionaire’s Forgotten Bride

"What is your position?" "My position is math," Liam said flatly. "We have a six-month-old baby. We have an eight-year-old son who is just starting to recover from trauma. We have a company that just merged. And my wife... my wife spent three months in a depression so deep she couldn't speak." He looked at Aurora. "We are at capacity," Liam said. "The load-bearing walls are holding, but only just. If we add another floor... the whole thing comes down." "It won't come down," Aurora insisted. "We have help. We have Marcus. We have Mrs. Higgins."

Stranded in Thoughts

Stranded in Thoughts

Lucky Kid followed. We reached the fifth floor without breaking a sweat. Clearing the fire exit had been the hardest part since entering the building. The whole floor brought a nostalgic smile to my face. We shouted Chevonne’s name countless times but got no reply. Lucky Kid lurched aside as a chunk of cement fell from the ceiling—Lady Luck hadn’t left him yet—leaving a hole large enough for us to see the stratus clouds in the sky. It was dipped in rich marmalade. It was almost nightfall. If we couldn’t find Chevonne soon, it would be a huge problem.

Promised to the father, married to the son

Promised to the father, married to the son

He can just bloody well wait until I am ready. Looking around trying to find something to start a conversation about, I settle my attention on a distant corner of the room. “Is that where you wedged yourself in and climbed to the ceiling ?” He doesn’t even bother to look. “As I understand it, yes”. The room has an incredibly high ceiling, a huge fireplace, massive windows, and several seating areas. “I can see why your father was terrified. If you had fallen, you might have broken your neck”.

Taming Her Alpha Bullies

Taming Her Alpha Bullies

" Max spoke impatiently. Callum looked up and we followed his eyes. High up in the ceiling, moonlight slipped from an opening. I looked down at Callum and then back up before I turned to Max. "That's too high," I shook my head. "I can't climb that high, no possible way for us to reach there," Max rejected too. "But that's the only way for us out of here. If you don’t want to lose your mate, Max, you would be the first to climb up," he suggested.

Before He Wakes

Before He Wakes

Not here, not like this, so he had to act. Pushing himself to his feet, he cast a scrutinizing eye about the room. He went to the door and tested it again. Glancing upward, he estimated the ceiling was about twelve feet above the floor, constructed of wooden planks. They looked solid as well, but he’d never be able to reach that high without something more than two rusty buckets to stand on. “Hey Clare,” he said. “I know this is a longshot but I don’t suppose you have any windows in your room?”

Crossing The Line With My Hockey Stepbrother

Crossing The Line With My Hockey Stepbrother

“Let’s check it out, shall we?” We followed it to what looked like a dead end. “Makes no sense,” Reagan muttered. “Storage?” Declan offered. “With no storage?” I said. All three of us looked around in futility for a while before I pointed my torch upward and found a lever. “Look at that.” I called. I pulled and stairs dropped from the ceiling, and light filtered down. Declan moved first but Reagan grabbed him. “You have nowhere to go.” “That’s why we're gonna find out.” Declan argued back.

The Alpha’s Purchased Mate

The Alpha’s Purchased Mate

He entered the big room but stopped moving. The Alpha King dropped his sword which fell uselessly to the ground. All the command room ceiling crashed down completely. A single, unimaginably massive slab of solid earth, weighing thousands of tons, was hovering just feet above the floor. The people of Alpha Silas were pressed to the wall. The civilians wept and prayed. The White Wolf held up the ceiling which was going to fall down. Maya was on all fours. Her muscles bulged and ripped apart because she carried too much weight. A flickering, dying violet shield of magic rested between her broad back and the crushing stone. Blood dripped from her mouth. It formed a pool on the ground below her.

Her Deadly Revenge

Her Deadly Revenge

I knew Piss Licker and Celia could hold down the fort for a while, but I had to get us home. In slow, careful movements, I found my footing on the ceiling joists. Ceilings were unpredictable. I could easily fall through the drywall in one wrong move. "Anything?" Casey's sweet voice whispered from above. I scanned over cables and pipes with the flashlight as I moved back to where I could see her. "Not much room to move in here. It's about to get loud. I have to break through the ceiling." I whispered. I knew there had to be a ladder below to help Casey get inside. When the store owners did any work on this place, they would need the means to perform necessary maintenance.

This book was great, no at all why I expected. The blurb feels like it’s for the wrong book and every tag is incorrect. But really really really great book! Can’t wait for read for of the authors writing!!!
Sabrina
The blurb and the title don’t match this book. The story is about a zombie apocalypse, a bunch of strangers that meet and their relationships that develop throughout. I thought the ending was good, but I would love to read a sequel for some much needed closure. Overall, it’s a really good book.

Billionaire's Pampered Wife

Billionaire's Pampered Wife

Benjamin refuted. Stella pointed to the ceiling on the third floor and said, "But this place has been here for a long time, things should be falling apart. Look at the ceiling." Bulbs were hung to the ceiling. Perhaps the ceiling was too high up, they could not see properly. Stella turned on the flashlight in her phone and pointed it at the ceiling. "Jasper, help me." His name slipped out of her mouth. Jasper was satisfied, he looked at his subordinate and signaled to him.
