Hearing the light footsteps, I turn as Lillith glides toward me, her red hair piled perfectly on her head, her green eyes dancing, the smile on her face so large that I am amazed her jaw manages to stay hinged. Before I could move away, she grabbed my hands, pulled me down, rising up on her toes, and pressed a kiss to my cheek. Had I been any other man, I would find her need for closeness charming.
