She fled to the potted plant in the corner and wretched into it. "Heavens!" one of the women gasped. Lily, through her sick haze, heard the ladies gather around her. A cool hand touched the back of her neck, and she sank to her knees, her body tensing as she dry-heaved again.

"Isabella?" She looked up, her heart lurching. A woman stood a few feet away, with young, brown hair, familiar eyes. It took her a moment to recognize her. "Lily?" Isabella's voice cracked. "What are you doing here?" Lily had been her neighbor in the building she'd shared with Jonathan. They hadn't been close, but they had been friendly, smiling in the hallway, watering each other's plants, occasionally sharing a cup of coffee. "I saw you on the news," Lily said, sitting beside her. "The press is camped outside your building. They're saying you were Damien Thorn's mistress. That you tried to trap him with a pregnancy."

I close my eyes biting my lower lip and say softly, “Hands to yourselves Mr. Hawthorne.” “You make me turn on whenever we’re alone, especially when we are in a confined space.” Adrian whispered into my ear as I felt his breath tingling around my neck and could feel my arm hair rise, having goosebumps as he stroked my arm gently up and down.
