The bridge had vanished behind them, swallowed by the yawning nothingness, leaving Riven, Luca, and Bishop plummeting into a liminal space where time and reality bent like molten glass.
The artefact pulsed violently in Riven’s hands, threads of gold and red spiralling outward, attempting to form a protective cocoon. But this place—the void—was different. The lattice couldn’t stabilise fully. Shadows from the heir followed, tendrils snaking like liquid obsidian, slicing through space as if it had no boundaries.
Luca screamed as a tendril struck near him, vaporising a chunk of nothing into sparks of shadowy ash. “Riven! It’s everywhere!”
