Ariana asked flatly. Gerald snapped out of his trance. He shook his head. "How are you wearing this?" Gerald glanced at his own outfit. He was wearing a silver suit varied with black lapels. Additionally, he wore a tie and a silver vest. His outfit matched what Ariana was wearing now. And that's what momentarily confused him because his wife hadn't said anything about their costumes.

I fixed my gaze on the one lying on the bed and moved, but Lelah blocked my way. “That's not a normal gown!” she exclaimed, raising her hands in surrender. “It's been… modified.” My brows inched up. “Modified how?” Lelah cleared her throat and stepped onto the bed. “The fabric is thick to keep you warm, and there is a long slit on one side of the skirt. It will be more comfortable while riding a horse, and it will give you easy access to the dagger,” she said. “You'll also be given a pair of leggings to wear underneath. She thought that would look good since the eagle has been the universal symbol of the clans since the ending of the Clan Wars. In a basket were some black hose, which she examined next to the tunic to see if they matched. She gave her approval with a smile and placed everything on the bed. A pair of black boots completed the outfit. Cai wandered back to her room to prepare herself. She found two ladies waiting there for her.

Do you like the clothes?” Bjorn nodded and looked down at the uniform. It was a dark blue tunic with silver embroidery along the edges, paired with black pants. “I do like it,” he said. “Gideon—I mean… Dad said it’s traditional. I felt it too. Galen walked out and left to his old room to retrieve his battle garment, and Kieran left me to change.
