Lion King Chapter Book Novels & Stories

Loki is nestled in his bassinet, but the sound of the door opening causes him to perk up. Loki prances around in his bed, happily staring up at Flavius and me. He squawks, shaking his little tail back and forth. Flying over to me, the little dragon perches on the plate in my hands and begins to swallow down the raw beef. "Will he be okay with your parents gone?" Flavius asks gently. I stroke Loki's head as he continues to eat. "Yes, he will be fine. Baby dragons are capable of surviving without their parents. Plus, he has me," I murmur.

She's mine. I climb, slowly and carefully, my coils wrapping the trunk, dodging the last of her barbs. The air grows heavy with her presence. It's wild, defiant and intoxicating. My hands are inches from her perch when a roar splits the night. "Coilheart!" Hadrian's voice thunders, shaking the leaves. I hiss in anger, twisting to look down. The lion king storms into the clearing, his golden eyes blazing, flanked by Fenrick's black wolf form and Nythor's white striped tiger. Three against one. Again.

He grinned. Before anyone could contemplate what was about to happen, a deep roar shook the earth. Sending all of them backwards. Slamming them into trees. A black giant dragon suddenly and slowly emerged from the other side of the forest. Approaching the scene stealthily. Its rough skin was dark as obsidian and long claws which could cut through steel. Its eyes burn brightly like hot coals and an earth shattering roar left its mouth, its razor sharp talons which could tear through anything. The sight of the dragon sent tremors through the men and they retreat carefully.

Internal Breath shafts soared into the air, each taking the shapes of fists and palms, raining down on the lion. However, this monster lion, a Beast Lord-class animal very close to reaching Seventh-grade, possessed enough toughness to fight head-to-head against Zang Fengling. It was a fierce battle that not even their greater number could barely give them any edge. Instead, one of the Fifth-grade Human Kings was squashed by the lion with its paw into mince meat. In the end, it took Zang Fengling employing the use of one of his best Sacred Relics to finally drive the gargantuan lion away.

Chapter 55 ~Emily~ The lion's huge paws pressed me down to the floor. I could feel the lion power stronger than any of the Lycan warriors I train with. I turned my head slightly and I saw that the lion had lowered his head, his mouth was like a bowl full of blood near my neck. His pupils were staring motionlessly at me, seemingly with some curiosity, and his huge teeth were almost in front of my eyes. I could feel the blood and heat inside the lion's mouth, as if I was going to be torn apart the next moment.

But if I told them the truth, maybe they would take me back to Thornwood. “A werewolf.” I said as loud as I could muster. Collective gasps broke out around me. Gasps of shock and disdain. I dragged my gaze around, confused by their reaction. Wait, he did say this was the ‘Dragon Keep’. The memory of when I came across a book about Dragons rushed into my mind. “...dragons are egoistic creatures who think they're better than everyone. They hung our kind for sport. They're monsters, Eloise…” Mae had told me that day.

Suddenly chill went up to my spine and the little pup in my eyes whined and snuggled closer to me like it's seeking shelter. I looked up and noticed the anger in Leonidas's eyes and... . . . He quickly snatches it from my hands and carefully places it on the bed. "Please open it, Breece." I smile at the little girl and encourage her to see my hard work of years. Breece wastes no time in turning the cover and palms her mouth as the first picture was of a Lion's family resting under a tree in wild Savanah. "There are ten lions and four cubs." She exclaims. "Yes, I click them from a distance but one of them woke up and roar at us." I told her remembering a narrow eacape from death.

One of the lions answered with a similar tone, huffing. “So he did, huh?” He placed his hand on his waist while the other patted the nose bridge of the other lion. “King.” The other lion stepped up and blew air. He had the most majestic mane and was slightly bigger than the other - the one that Black Shadow was patting - and lowered his head, a sign of respect. “Go catch him. Our lesson is still unfinished.” King abruptly twisted his body and faced the other side. He bent his upper body while the lower body wiggled. His tail was also wiggling cutely.
