Avalyn said in a strong voice. Vladimir motioned with his fingers and four warriors brought a cage and placed it in front of Ava, a good distance between them. They opened the cage and a mountain lion pounced outside with vigour. Her killing the lion, an enemy to the wolf, symbolized her fighting to protect the pack. Ava let out a growl, challenging the mountain lion to attack her. The lion let out a growl in return and charged at Ava. Why the hell wasn't she shifting?

When I sit back down, Lionel is looking at me with a smirk, "What?" "That was like watching a dog pissing on a tree," he laughs, but I don't find it funny so I just stare at him, "Hey that's just nature, you were marking your territory. It's... normal. Sometimes." "Really?" I ask, confused. It bothers me that this is all new to me. This whole new part of my own nature. "Sometimes, like I said," he mutters with a frown as he thinks a little more, "You should go to the clan library. There are hundreds of books about everything you should know."

After everything that happened with Lenox, Luka was out of it, but not to a level as such. "She shifted, Laz, she shifted before my eyes. First, this absolutely stunning woman stood before my eyes, and then, this massive fucking mountain lion stood in her place. It was snow-white, and damn how big it was. To hell, even bigger than my Alpha wolf, and that's like impossible, or should be impossible. I don't know; the lion snarled at me and took off." Without a second thought, I jump to my feet again and slam my fists on the desk. "Took off? You should've started with that! Where to?"

she answered shyly, subconsciously moving a little towards the window to lean on it. After a few minutes of silence in the carriage, Minerva asked, "what happened to all the dragons living in Redshire? From what I've read in books, this kingdom is their home and what about shifters? I can't imagine any human here turning into a beast." Vincent threw her a sarcastic glare before sighing indifferently. Some things and histories are meant to be kept a secret but with the girl beside him, he wasn't sure he would be able to hold himself from telling her. Not to talk about what happened in Blueshead was still clear in his mind.

"Ready?" Aurelia nodded and prepared to draw Lion's Fang. She took several deep breaths to relax her jangled nerves. Her eyes never left Zinjo's tail. It wriggled back and forth. His tail raised like a flag, and Zinjo propelled himself forward with the speed of a viper. He roared. Aurelia followed suit and slashed the air after she rolled to her feet. The Bandits froze in fear at the sight of the lions. The armored leader pointed at them, "G-g-guardian lions, Lord Nian does not have them in front of his home."

’ ‘Yes, sire, as you command. ‘What of the lions and the bloodline?’ ‘Sire, King Vikram of Lion Island has a son, Kage’s age. And His warriors are quite skilled, making it difficult to capture them for interrogation and turning.’ ‘Fine. But Lion Island is key to finding my Queen. Her bloodline will be mine.’ ‘Yes, sir. However, we have noticed that capturing and converting Wolves and Reptiles is much easier. ‘But Fliers hold more Fae blood for rituals. Have you tried capturing them?’

It was enough to pull the trigger and the automatic burst would do everything for them. Kohan looked up at me with his purest eyes and, hiding his claws, wiped his hand on his light blue jeans. He wore no shirt or T-shirt, and his massive musculature rolled smoothly under his tanned skin with every move he made. Then in the supermarket he did not seem so huge to me, but he was huge, and the smell ... His wolf smell was the same as then, and sharply penetrated me, along with his gaze. - So, Kira ... - he purred and walked towards me.

My heart dropped to my stomach and Blake let out a growl which the lion didn’t hesitate to return, making my breath get caught up in my throat. The lion kept his eyes on the two of us, a predator wanting to chase his prey, waiting for us to make one wrong move. But that wasn’t what caught my attention. Around the lion’s neck was a collar. Two golden keys hung around his neck, and seeing that I saw what we were here for, the lion growled. I looked at the creature for a few seconds, trying to find the right moment to move to try and snatch the keys only for the ground beneath our feet to crackle. The stone floors were breaking.
