IZZY'S POV, When I got home that evening, I was exhausted to my bones, more exhausted than I’d realized earlier. And all I wanted was to jump on my bed and fall asleep. The exhaustion wasn't due to the work or due to the little encounter with Tyler at work, though that was very draining, but from everything that had been happening in my life lately. I was responsible for most of them in one way or another, but that doesn't mean I couldn't complain. The castle, the fireworks, the feeling of being seen, really seen by someone for the first time, was all I wanted, and then on the other hand, I was ready to burn it to the ground.

She needed someone to talk to, someone who knew her well enough to help her make sense of the swirling thoughts and conflicting emotions. Lily picked up after a few rings, her voice warm and cheerful. "Izzy! Hey, I was just thinking about you." "Hey, Lil," Izzy replied, trying to keep her voice steady. "I… I really need to talk to you. Are you free?" “Of course,” Lily said, immediately picking up on the strain in Izzy’s tone. “Tell me everything. What’s going on?” Izzy took a deep breath, feeling the comforting familiarity of her friend’s voice calm her slightly. "It’s Liam. I think… I think I might be getting too close to him."

She sipped her drink, trying to relax and get into the vibe of the place. As they moved onto the dance floor, Izzy began to loosen up. The music pulsed through her, the beat impossible to resist. For a moment, she let herself forget about everything—about Ace, about the mysterious messages from "D," about her fears. She was just Izzy, dancing and laughing with her friend.

Izzy babbled excitedly, telling her mother a very long and tangent-heavy description of her time away. It sounded like a grand journey and Ellis was so happy that the children had no inkling about what the people had gone through. If they didn’t know… they wouldn’t be scared. When they were old enough, she could explain to them. "I see big bird!" Izzy declared. "I kill it!" She looked at Ellis with expectation. “Oh? How did you kill it, baby?” Ellis asked, mimicking her excitement. Izzy demonstrated, curling her claws and pouncing with a little growl on one of the pillows, biting into the edge, and shaking her head.

“If this news gets out, I think there's one party who responded quickly and made these photos rise to the surface.” Celine chuckled at that. “You really are a good thinker. But I think Mr. Kingston will definitely live up to his word, right?” Andrew shook his head. “I think you should be more careful how you act out there. What Justin said was for your own good too, Celine. I don't want to get in your business, but Giselle is really worried about her best friend.” The dark-haired girl nodded. “I understand. But like I told you, Justin, it was Bryan who helped me get treated. And I think it's right that this photo should be silenced immediately. I'm too lazy to clarify.”

She stated before correcting her statement, "Oops! Sorry. I forgot that basically, all of you lot died in the front yard." "Well, of course. Did you really think those traitors and murderers would've given you a book that praised the Flames in such way? They don't want you here or alive at that matter. I, on the other hand, want nothing more than to help you, but I can't." The lady sounded distraught, almost embarrassed that she couldn't do more. "Why?" Ruby questioned, knitting her eyebrows in confusion. She was thicker that usually as she answered the Hart girl, "Because that's your mission. Only your ignis can help you."

Recovering their stuffs, dismounting their tents for easy evacuation. “What were you doing with him then?” Michelle asked Ella. “Doing with who”, she bounced the question back in confusion and eagerness to know. “Like you don’t know what am saying”, she posed, eye contacting her to hear what she knows. “what are you even saying”, she asked irritably. “Ekaris of course…what were you guys doing in the river?” she finally spit it out. “Nothing….. absolutely nothing”, she said as she made her way outside the tent.

Her voice cracked. Izzy took the can from her without a word. She moved through the monastery like a ghost, her footsteps silent, her hands steady as she poured the gasoline over the wooden beams, the prayer rugs, the sacred scrolls that had been passed down for centuries. Kimmelly stood frozen at the entrance, watching in horror. “Izzy, please.” But Izzy had already flicked the lighter. The first flame caught instantly, licking up the walls, consuming the tapestries, devouring the wood. The fire spread fast, too fast.

He lies, promises fake futures, and when he gets bored, he throws them away. Lisa doesn’t see it. And why would she? She looks at the world like it’s not out to get her. She could make any man fall for her, especially someone pathetic enough to rely on flattery like Brooke. But he isn’t getting near her. Not when I’m in the picture. If I can’t have her, no one will. Call me a selfish bastard, I don’t care. I wear that title like a crown. Then came the moment I could get the reason to fire her. She stared at me with fire in her eyes. Not fear. Not submission. Fire.
