“We don’t babysit here. You want in, you prove you’ve got what it takes.”
“Relax, Theo,” a voice called out. Another guy jogged over, shorter than Theo but lean and wiry. “He’s just a newbie. Let him try.”
Theo rolled his eyes, but stepped aside. “Fine. Your funeral.”
The wiry guy turned to me, his tone more approachable. “I’m Eric. Don’t mind Theo; he’s just intense. You sure you want to do this?”
“Yeah,” I said firmly.
“Alright. You’ll need to start with the basics. Footwork, stance, balance. We’ll see if you can keep up.”
