Oh my what a beautifully refreshing book! I laughed so much! I completely fell in love with Bianca and Magnus! They are super cute one is serious and stoic and the other fun and fiesty. Perfectly suited for each other! I always love reading about strong women and their equally strong men.

I am thoroughly enjoying this book! I have read so many books that are so full of fluff just to keep the reader hooked for the real story, but this book is fantastic and every chapter is relevant. You’ll run through a roller coaster of real emotions and still want more. Definitely worth it!

His Unchosen bride

His Unchosen bride

Twenty-eight years ago, Arthur Blackwood and Edward Hart — founders of two rival business empires — promised that one day their families would unite through marriage. Everyone assumed that meant Adrian Blackwood, Arthur’s formidable thirty-nine-year-old son and CEO of Blackwood Global, would marry Vivian Hart, the polished, camera-ready eldest daughter groomed for the role since childhood. Instead, at the engagement gala meant to formalize that match, Adrian names the Hart family’s overlooked second daughter instead: Arabella. Twenty-four, quiet, curvy, and long accustomed to standing in her sister’s shadow, Arabella has spent her life being the one nobody chooses first — not because she isn’t enough, but because she stopped performing for rooms that never made space for her. The marriage begins as a transaction neither of them fully understands. Arabella suspects she’s a strategic instrument in a plan Adrian hasn’t disclosed. Adrian, a man who has built his life around control and restraint, finds himself unsettled by a woman who wants nothing from him — no status, no performance, no permission to take up space. What unfolds is not instant passion but something slower and more dangerous: comfort. Silence that doesn’t need filling. A man who says little but shows everything in what he does — the coat draped over her shoulders before she asks, the room cleared of a magazine bearing a cruel headline before she can see it, the seat saved beside him at a table designed to make her feel like an afterthought. As Arabella begins to unlearn a lifetime of shrinking herself, and Adrian begins to unlearn a lifetime of needing nothing from anyone, their arranged marriage becomes the one place both of them are finally, quietly, seen.

Parents Declutter Me Right Out of Existence

Parents Declutter Me Right Out of Existence

In our house, owning a single unnecessary item is considered shameful. My room is bare, like a model home. It doesn't even have an extra chair. There are always only three sets of clothes in my closet. If I want a new pair of pants, I have to cut up the old pair myself before I can keep the new one. Every time I bring something new home, I have to get rid of something old. That includes my favorite pair of shorts with the little robot prints. Dad calls this "decluttering". He says it prevents the soul from becoming weighed down by objects, keeping it pure and light. Every time I grow a little taller, Mom's frown gets a little deeper. "Eddie, you're taking up too much space," she says. "The house feels crowded because of you." From then on, I do everything I can to make myself smaller. Even when I sleep, I curl myself into the tightest ball I can manage. I just want to take up a little less space. Then one day, a truck driver stops in front of me. He smiles and tells me his truck has a huge cargo compartment, big enough to hold all the things nobody wants anymore. I quietly climb inside. "Mom, Dad… I won't take up any space now. You'll finally be happy, won't you?"

Tokyo Love Letter - Hibiki (English)

Tokyo Love Letter - Hibiki (English)

In the middle of Tokyo’s relentless rush, two strangers cross paths—by accident, in the most ridiculous way, and at the most unexpected moment—yet it feels as if the universe had quietly arranged it all. What follows are hesitant steps, faltering words, and small messages that slowly create a warm, quiet space between them. Tokyo Love Letter: Hibiki is a story where silence speaks, where ordinary days suddenly begin to matter, and where someone appears out of nowhere… only to become a place to return to, and a space to simply be oneself. This isn’t a story about falling in love quickly, but about feeling it grow—quietly, unexpectedly—through coincidences, through distance, and through the little things we never meant to hold on to.

Bringing Sulfuric Acid to a Water Fight

Bringing Sulfuric Acid to a Water Fight

I've traveled to Southgate to attend a water-splashing festival. A cheeky kid, who's about eight years old, keeps spraying the back of my head and my ears with water ejected from her high-pressure water gun. Half of my body is soon drenched in water. That's when I berate the kid and tell her not to aim her gun at my face. She doesn't bother stopping. On the contrary, she even has the gall to spray more water right in my face. I feel the cold water spritzing into my left eye. The pain is so intense that I can't even open my eyes. To make things worse, that kid is even howling with laughter while raising her gun proudly. "Look, Dad! He's all soggy and wet, like a limp noodle! This is fun!" The kid's father merely watches from the side. Not only does he not offer an apology to me, but he also records the whole thing on his phone. "Hey, my daughter is washing your eyes for you for free! This is an honor that no one else can ever receive, you know! Why are you acting like a complete wuss?" I swipe the liquid off my face before drawing to my feet and yelling at the crowd around me. "There's strong acid contained inside that kid's water gun! Just now, she burned my eye with it!"

My Three-Month-Old Exposed My Wife's Dark Secret

My Three-Month-Old Exposed My Wife's Dark Secret

My mother-in-law, Olivia Austin, stands out and performs a heroic deed, only to get stabbed 99 times by the human trafficker she's apprehended. Needless to say, she's in critical condition. On the way to the hospital, I'm about to inform my wife, Elaine Russell, when a voice interrupts me. "Don't call Mom!" I'm stunned, to say the least. Right now, the only other person besides me is my son, Enzo Burke, in the back seat. But he's only three months old! How can he possibly talk? The next thing I know, the voice rings out again. "Mom's male best friend's company has filed for bankruptcy, so he's threatening to kill himself right now. If Mom ditches him and goes to the hospital instead, he will definitely kill himself!" At that moment, Elaine's impatient voice drifts from the other end of the line. "Since your mom is already dying, no miracle in this world can save her. What else can I do? You might as well use the time to prepare her funeral right now! Stop pestering me already!" I feel my heart sink to the pits of my stomach. To think that Elaine actually thinks my mom is the one dying! "Dad, Grandma can't make it anymore. If anything were to happen to Mom's friend, she'd definitely kill both of us!" As I listen to Enzo's choked-up thoughts, I decide not to say anything. After ending the call, I caress Enzo's cheek with a smile. "Darling, from now on, you and I are the only ones in this family."

When the Storm Ends, Life Begins Again

When the Storm Ends, Life Begins Again

On the day of the United Nations meeting, I noticed a new electronic watch on my wife’s wrist. She said it was a gift from her first love to monitor her health. It was a veiled jab, which implied I was not as thoughtful or caring as an outsider. Something felt off, so during her lunch break I secretly checked, and found a bugging device. I reported it immediately, using my official title to cover her wrongdoing. Her first love, however, was now wanted by the authorities. While fleeing, he tragically died in a car accident. My wife said coldly that it served him right, yet treated me with even more care and attention. However, she deliberately leaked my translation files at work, which resulted in me being accused of espionage and taken in for investigation. “Miles, that bug was clearly planted by you. You were jealous of Ash and wanted him dead!” “I truly regret giving up Ash to marry someone as malicious as you. You should go to hell and atone for him!” When I opened my eyes again, I was back there once again on the day her first love gave her that watch. I did not interfere this time. I simply signed my name on the divorce papers.
