Auden’s Blessing
When the time came, I went to the snow mountain almost without thinking.
Loki was already sitting by the pool, even conjuring a small fireball to keep himself warm. When he saw me, he immediately dispelled the magic and stood up. “You’re seventeen minutes late.”
“Say it. What’s your condition?”
Loki’s eyes curved into a bright, almost childlike smile.
“I want a kiss from the goddess of love.”
“Impossible,” I said flatly.
Yet something about it felt strange. Knowing Loki, would he really be satisfied with just a kiss?
