“We were told thirteen-hundred hours.”
“They’ll show,” I tell Ryder, my eyes scanning the perimeter.
“We’re pushing the limit. I’d rather avoid having Takumi skin me alive for a delay, thanks,” Ryder snaps.
Logan lets out a sharp laugh. “He’ll make you beg for the blade if you use his first name again. The man has a special kind of disdain for you, Ryder. Do we need to review the NDA?” He’s mocking that brutal night at the Obsidian Shrine.
