Beki’s sharp bark sliced through that traitorous thought. Griff wrapped an arm around my shoulder and pulled me close. “It’s perfect.” The Norse god of Mischief grinned. “Then it’s time to go.” Eagon and Umber walked up to Loki. “Sorry Your Majesty, but we’re going to be a bit rough.” Loki pushed out his ample chest and grinned. “Don’t worry about little old me. I can take a bit of rough handling.”

He ignores her comment and asks, “Why don’t you feel cursed? You’re blind! You are missing out on one of the biggest senses.” “Because I like my human, and I like the way Selene blessed me. Maybe in my next life I won’t be blind, but I will take the hand I’m dealt now.” Loki continues to mumble incoherent sentences, but after a few minutes, Kodi asked, “Are you ready?” He grumbles, “Fine.” I can feel as Kai takes control once again. He’s confused and Kodi speaks to him, “I’m sorry, Loki is stubborn, but I’ll do everything I can to help you adjust.”

Luca knelt beside the bed, pressing a herb poultice into the wound, ignoring the hiss of smoke as the herbs touched the wolfsbane soaked flesh. “Come on, Raven,” Luca muttered, voice cracking. “You’re too damn stubborn to give up now.” He never left her side but he needed to know what was happening. Loki, status update, Luca mind-linked, keeping his voice steady in the pack link. The warriors are clearing the bodies. "No more rogues for now," Loki replied.

Loki suddenly asked, staring intensely at his daughter. "Honey," Loretta mumbled as she clutched onto Loki's arm. But he ignored her cry with his eyes still glued to his daughter and said, "Blake!" "I will, Loki! I will be there!" Blake spoke with bitter resentment. A smile curved on Loki's lip, and he shook his head slightly as he mumbled, "Good. See you and… and your mate there." Then he looked at Loretta, took her hands in his, and walked out with the five betas following him.

He was just about to say something, but Javier obviously did not need a reply. Hence, Javier struck Loki’s lower body with his knee. Loki ended up sprawling on the ground as well, thoroughly losing consciousness, in fact. He felt as though someone had punched him in the head, knocking him out completely. However, this was far from over for Loki. Loki’s self-defense mechanism kicked in automatically due to the immense pain caused by that knee strike, which led him to lose consciousness directly. In truth, Loki was very likely going to feel even more pain when he came around because he was never going to be able to call himself a man again.

I’ll choose to stop being glass, and start being the storm that shatters it. Loki comes to see me again. Of course he shows up when I no longer need him. He arrives with the wind at his heels and nothing in his expression except that half-smile. That knowing look of a god who’s always five moves ahead and still amused by the middle of the board. “Rough night?” he says, glancing at the cracks in the stone where I’ve poured out my magic like water from a broken vessel. “Get out.” “Now why would I do that?”

Loki’s eyes went to the food, stuffing his face like he did earlier his turning dark and his eyes glowing red. “When you get excited,” Poseidon muttered almost to himself, “your animal wants to surface. Remember the techniques I’ve taught you if I am not around?” Shoving Loki to make sure said a proper, ‘thank you,’ he stopped and smiled with an enormous pile of sandwiches in his mouth. Playfully swallowing and muttering his thanks, he shoved another piece inside. Before I pushed him again, Luci grabbed me and put me on his lap, far away from Loki. “Don’t worry about him,” Luci growled in my ear. I giggled, nuzzling up against Luci’s neck.

"Alice left, and now you remember me? Loki, you never loved me. You just needed someone to fill the empty space." He shook his head wildly. "That's not true! I didn't understand until later…that you're the one I love. I was just too stupid, blinded by obsession…" I cut him off. "That's enough. You're saying all this because you want me to forgive you, come back, and help you stabilize the Silvermoon Pack." Loki's face went pale. I sneered. "Hit the mark, didn't I? You haven't changed at all. You've always only cared about yourself."
