The "Alpha-Beast"—the monstrosity created by the Blood-Moon King—towered forty feet high, its skin a patchwork of matted fur, exposed muscle, and silver armor plates. Every time it let out a roar, a wave of "Lunar Rot" rippled through the air, making the pack warriors' wolves howl in agonizing submission. "Retreat to the Solarium!" Silas roared, finally finding his feet. He was covered in his own blood, his gold-and-sapphire skin now little more than a collection of glowing scars. He grabbed his sword from the snow and joined the line beside Caleb.

CASSANDRA Roxy let out a terrible roar. It was the most horrible sound I’d ever heard from a werewolf and it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. The dark-haired warrior sorceress didn’t cry and no tears spilled onto her cheeks, but her sea-green eyes were wide and bloodshot. “No,” she uttered as her full, lower lip trembled. “No, no, no.”

I shut my eyes, just like that night as if surrendering and ready to let it all happen because fighting and screaming did nothing when. A loud roar sliced through the air, threatening enough to make even the rogues flinch. The growl echoed deeper into the forest that I stilled. It differed from the others. More darker, heavier and even dangerous. I snapped my eyes open, his roar shattering through the present as it dragged me out of that nightmare, pushing me back to the moment. The rogues froze instantly, their ears falling flat. Some of them whined as they backed away and even the first that had pushed me to the ground was already trembling. None of them dared to move.

I grabbed the hem of Felix's shirt, fixed a pitiful expression on my face, and mumbled, "I believe you, Felix." Felix's expression softened as he helped me back to my feet. Taking advantage of the fact that the other wolves' attention was still on us, I retrieved a document from my bag and handed it to Felix. "I accidentally recorded your pup's blood type as AB when I registered his information last time. The truth is, his blood type is O." Felix's face twisted as he snatched the document from me. An eerie silence descended upon the hall. Everyone knew that all the wolves of the Blackrock pack had type-AB blood, making it impossible for a pup with type-O blood to exist in the pack.

I was standing still looking in both directions, wondering which one to take. “Scarlet Bloodmoon” Asher’s voice rumbled through the forest. I didn’t want to go back to him and I started to go back to where the woman was until 5 massive wolves rose from the ground. They looked like shadows with stars for eyes. They started bolting at me. I turned to run in the direction of Asher’s voice. Trying to escape these wolves. I haven’t shifted since I saw Asher and Saige Together at the mate ball. “I Asher Stormclaw, Son of Alpha Caleb and soon to be alpha, reject you as my mate and future Luna”
