Milka cooed at the rabbit, grinning widely, and we all smiled, too. “Ahh, bunna. Aiden, you see bunna?” “Yeah, I see it, Mimi,” he replied gruffly, his hands in his pants pockets. “Aiden cuggle.” Milka pointed at him. “I’m all right.” She frowned. “Aiden. Cuggle. Bunna. Now.” I raised an eyebrow at Chloe, and she stepped back, laughing into her hand. “You know the new thing where they call their fans Divas? I’ll give you three guesses who inspired it.”

"Haha, you're in luck! Luna's coming back tomorrow, and a few of us are planning a welcome-back party. You joining us?" Luna? I clenched the phone tightly, my eyes glued to that name as my mind exploded in a whirlwind of confusion. When we named our daughter, Owen insisted on calling her Luna, repeatedly saying in front of everyone that Luna was the only love of his life. Could it be... that the origin of our daughter’s name was because of that Luna? It felt like an invisible blade slicing through my heart, the pain overwhelming, yet I had no place to let out the scream trapped inside me.

And it freaked her out. She tried telling her Mom, but like all mothers, Angelie attributed it to her being a child. Eventually, Luna learned how to ignore most of it. Many would have thought that this would have made her cool, but to other kids it made her the weirdest of girls. The brunt of all jokes. The freak. Pipo elbowed Luna and gave her a wink. "Come on, My Ore." How sweet it would seem to others that he has a pet name for her. Sorry but no romantic feelings between them. My Ore is short for My Oracle. Yeah, cliche.

I raised at an eyebrow confused as to why they were looking at me that way. “Rumors about our dear Alpha choosing his Luna.” I heard Gabby explain. I spit out my coffee right as I heard the words leave her lips. My eyes went wide, and I was stunned. What the hell was happening? Why would anyone start a rumor like that? Aaron started choking and I looked over to see Addy patting his back while looking at me.

He jumps up “Hell yeah! Can’t wait to see this little spitfire that has you all bent out of shape” He laughs “Wait, what's her name did you find out?” I look up at my over excited Beta knowing he will love this, us both growing up with the Gods. “Enyo” Trent clapped his hands and started laughing. “Our Luna is named after the Goddess of war, hell should I call you Aires?” I throw my cushion at him, us both laughing proper belly laughing.

She wouldn’t let it. She inhaled deeply, trying to center herself. “You’re tense,” the Lycan said, his voice smooth, deep, and teasing. “I don’t enjoy being watched by an entire room,” she replied coolly, her gaze skimming the crowd. All eyes were on them. He smiled. “Then I suppose I should introduce myself, give them something to talk about. I’m Knox. Knox Green, Alpha of the Southern Lycan Pack.” “Lydia. Heiress of the Moonglade Pack,” she replied, matching his tone.

"Both, obviously. But hey, I heard his name is Revan. Sounds pretty stiff, don't you think?" Noah started the car and pulled out. "Revan? Sounds like a guy from those drama novels you read. Careful, Lon, names like that usually mean they’re strict." "Strict on the outside, soft on the inside," Lona countered, busy taking selfies for her I*******m story. "Just wait until tomorrow. I’ll send you a photo of his face when he’s caught staring. It’s gonna be epic." _______ When they pulled up to Lona’s mansion, the house was already buzzing. The staff were cleaning the garden with more intensity than usual.

I could hear in my own words just how arrogant I sounded. “My name is Beta Devon, Luna.” He bowed his head once more. “Alpha, Beta, Luna… I feel like I have stepped into some cheesy Greek teenage fantasy drama! I didn’t want any of this, you know. The titles. The turning into a wolf the moment the full moon appears.” I couldn’t help myself. I was acting like a petulant child. But I just didn’t care. My life had taken a complete turn, and all I wanted was to get back on the tracks I was on. Everything just came bubbling out.

Hugo, who was handsome and well-loved in the esports world, had far more fans than I did. Did Luna not understand what this gesture meant? I silently slipped the ring back into my pocket, hearing the fans' screams echo through the arena. The noise was deafening, as if it might tear the roof off. Flashes from cameras filled the air, and everything around me faded into the background. Even before the award ceremony was over, their sweet interactions had already gone viral. Their perfect pairing was drawing fans, with people shipping them as a couple. Hugo's fans were tagging Luna in the comments, calling her "Mrs. Newman", and the scene was chaotic.

We all respect him, and no one has ever challenged him for the position. Our Luna is Amara. Being my mom’s best friend, I have grown up knowing her as my aunt, but out of respect I still call her by her title. We see each other frequently and she has always been so kind. Lawrence and Amara have made no one in our pack feel like they were less because of ranks. In other packs, the Alpha and Luna’s use the Omega’s as maids and cooks. We are such a lucky pack to have them in charge.
