Eventually, the pain stopped and he was left with the scar from the burns which had made him to keep wearing hand gloves all the time. Carla had once suggested he could just get a skin graft to get rid of the nasty burn marks, but he insisted that he needed to do this else his penance wouldn’t be complete.
